Anyone else have a loved one on Ship 9, Div. 087? My son is going to Nuke School in Charleston following PIR. Like so many of you, I am counting down the days until March 16!! Hope to see you there:)

kitty pray like you have never prayer before. We had a talk with out SR before he left about some girl would love to hook up with him for all the benfits he could bring her. Sometime they like the Idea of having a sweetheart back home to write to. We went though that also. If your SR has a good good friend who can help out by seeing if she really cares about him or not that will help. Is she a good person? Did they break up on good terms? Sometimes the one back home like to talk how the have someone in the service. Don't freak out (i know that is hard not to) Think it out in a calm way. When they are so far away it we can't talk to them. They are men now so THEY have to make up their minds but good info about what is going on is good too.Hang in there!! I will be praying for HIM and ALL of you. REMEMBER: HONOR COURAGE COMMITMENT Remind him of those.
Hi Kitty...I agree with LittleTurtle -- Don't freak out or over-react YET. It will be difficult for him to make time for her once he gets gets out of BC and goes to school. Unless she is in it for the right reasons, she won't last. The girls definitely think its hot to have a military boyfriend. BC is lonely for them and a lot of the guys were probably calling their girlfriends. It probably lifted his spirits to have someone to call other than his mom (I know--what's up with that LOL). My son tried calling his girlfriend first, which almost bothered me, but then I hated that he didn't get to talk to her--it would have made his day! Hang in there and don't let Facebook make you crazy:)
hey were r all of my new friends at i miss talking 2 u guys hellow im here waiting
I am here now!!! :)
Well I do feel better about the whole situation with the old GF. Sent a funny letter to my son about it with subliminal messages written between the lines. I hope he laughs. I told him his one and only love is his big black doggie, Gus, his 90 pound German shepherd. No ups and downs, just pure unconditional love! And then I put his paw print on the letter.
Thanks for your input LT and Robin. I came to the same conclusion; he had a weak moment and wanted to have a GF at the time.
We are all here for each other!! That is why I am so glad that TN has good guys with him!! Praying for all the 087. I feel like I have more kids then just the one. Cause every action my SR does involves the whole div and vise versea. Thank you again ladies for raising men and not boys.
I pray for them too. And all of you! I hope you all have a great week and receive letters. We are going to be over the hump this week for those who started 1/17/12. We can see the light at the end of the tunnel. It may be a small light, but it is there!
LT- I saw your post about what day and week they are in on fb. My hubby said not to worry. We go by what is on their form letters, and it states 3/16. They will get them their. :)

Thanks Minor! I love seeing these.
I hope everyone is doing great. Hang in there.
Where did everyone go? It's been quiet here since our boys called last week. Is there a chance we will get another call this week or is that just wishful thinking?:) Tomorrow really is hump day! In one more month we will be hugging our new sailors!!! I've been more of a reader than a writer the last few days....maybe you have been too. I think the worst is over...the box, the form letter, the first letter and phone call. This is definitely a rollercoaster ride...I'm so grateful to have you all to share the ride with. [HUGS]
Hello everyone. I am new to this site (thank you KittyS) and my boyfriend is in this division. I got a letter from him today and he asked for us not to send pictures that they are getting yelled at for them? Have any of you been told this?
That is too funny. I had sent a few names to my son to let him know whose mom's I am talking too on this site.
