for the last couple of weeks I have gotten one letter a week. My last letter was dated 2/2 that I got last week. It usually gets here on Thursday. Which is one of the three days I have to work and so my husband is always the one that gets it and reads it first:/ Very frustrating since I am the one doing most of the writing. I thin he has written 3 letters total since he has been gone. I have sent one every day! Oh sorry, back to the letter. So, hopefully you will get one tomorrow as well as all the rest of us! I don't even look for the mailman anymore either. Not worth watching for him if I am not going to be getting anything anyway! Hang in there, it will come. Only a couple more weeks and we will be headed to PIR!! Woo hoo! We will leave a 2 weeks from tomorrow!:)

Good day ladies...my son's best friend is in this division. The division will come together! The div will PIR on March 2. The guys who can not conform will be ASMOED (set back to another TG). No news is good news as it means all of your sons, husbands, or boyfriends will PIR on time and they are not hurt. Our son PIR was 12/29/2011. Each div seems to have this problem probably because you have so many different individuals from so many walks of life that it truly takes time to meld together as a group. My prayers to Ship 07 Div 080. Go Navy!!!

Thank you, my son (ship 09, div 023) We appreciate all the prayers we can get right now!:) Congrats to your sailor! Where is he now? Which A school did he go to?

Lesliet, Her son is my son's best friend.  He is at Great Lakes A school.  He has been a great support to my son while preparing for boot camp as 09/023 has been an amazing support to me as I have gone through this process.

feeling very concerned and frustrated that my SR hasn't written in the last 2 weeks....praying all is okay with our SR's....anyone know how much longer until battlestations?

Gavinsmom, I feel the same way.  While I'm so happy for those who are getting letters, I feel equally frustrated that I'm not.  The 2 letters we got were very optimistic, so I just don't get why there is nothing now. UGH!  I also must add that I am so thankful to all of you ladies who have gotten letters and are kind enough to share. Thanks!!

Hello Ladies! Got another letter from Joseph and it was a short one this time..if they are sending letters you should be getting one a week because they can only can send them out Sundays. Anyways..Joseph has said that they've been SUPER busy lately and so that's why they haven't been able to really write much..hopefully that eases some of your concerns..other than that they took their second PFA and also took firearms test as well. No news is good news!! So I guess that means they've at least met the standards! They have also been bunk inspected as usual..not too much to tell this time around ladies..he didn't really write too much. I guess they really ARE busy! Hope this little info helps a bit.. 2 weeks left! :)

Thanks Viola!  You are so sweet to share, and yes that information is helpful. Thanks!!

Hello! We got a letter toda! Of course, I am at work and my husband opened it! lol  Wanted to ask you all to pray for my son, he ended up getting chin splints right after starting boot camp and was delayed in his running for a week and half. He started back and he said they have come back with a vengance. He had failed the first PFA running part by 10 seconds on the first test, he took his second test and failed by 5 seconds:( Please, pray with me that they will go away and that he will pass his next test. I would hate for him to fail and not get to graduate because of that:( Makes me cry thinking about it.  He sounded like things were really coming together and that he was (I think he said Lion Officer) not for sure what my husband said when he read me the letter, anyway he was leader and told the guys what to do during Marlin Spike:) He said he got perfect scores on his exams and his inspections!:) I am so proud of him! I have to admit it made me cry.  Oh, yeah, he also said he made ET (which is what he was wanting)!:) Yay! I am so excited for him!:) I can't wait to get home and read the letter for myself. If I have forgotten something I will post again later:) Hope the rest got letters too! He did say they are really busy and don't have a lot of time to write.

gavinsmom--My son said his bunk mate's name is Gavin:) He is going to be an MM. I am guessing this may be your Gavin!:) My son's name is Chris. He said he made ET--which is what he was wanting to go for in the Nuke program.:) Looking forward to meeting you. Hope all is well between the two of them:)

YES!  got a letter today from Gavin and he said his bunk mate is Chris :)  He made MM for nuke school and is very excited.  He said they have been very busy getting ready for battlestaions.  He made sharp shooter in live fire and said that was the funnest day shooting!  He loves to shoot.  It sounds like they are all doing really well and are pumped about PIR coming up soon.  So good to hear that!

:) My son made sharp shooter too. He was very excited about that part too. He likes to shoot too:) Yes, he is so ready for PIR to get here. Praying hard that my son makes it on his next test!
