Choose your Username. For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security
Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.
DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.
DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

I always wanted a small baby. . . I sill am a little jealous of those who have them.

Ok, most of the SRs say the food is awful. My son brags on it in every letter. Told me yesterday that he has gained seven pounds!!! Guess that doesn't speak very well of my cooking! LOL He said it is a combination of muscle and good food. Good for him, he needed some extra weight!

Honestly, all I'd heard before this conversation in the past day or so (both from my SR and here/facebook) is how good the food is there. My SR has things he thinks are horrible (pancakes) but overall has said they feed them well.
What I wish is that my SR would make good food choices on his own. Only when swimming with an NCAA team at college did he think about what he was eating.

my sr told me what he ate... Whatever is for breakfast ( but not the eggs, ) then a pbj sandwich and a banana... for lunch ...whatever is for lunch plus pbj sandwich and a banana.... same routine at dinner..
he is a beanpole.. at thanksgiving they had crab alfredo...he was a happy dude

No one, I mean NO ONE, is more surprised than I am that my SR is eating healthfully for the first time on his own. For him to give up white carbs? OMG, someone check his temperature!

Okay Ladies!
If you are going to Sarge's Meet and Greet, I have an idea (compliments of Sarge, actually). If someone gets a few balloons of a designated color, then, when you get there you can put the balloons on a table and everyone in our division knows to congregate in that area. What do you think?
Maybe even just two or three navy and gold balloons (to match our colors)?
Is anyone going to be at the meet n greet early (social time is 5:30 - 7:00 with info/food after that) and going to be in town early enough to grab some balloons at a local grocery (does the Walmart sell balloons?). I may be in town early enough, but I'm not sure when I'll get to the event.
Any volunteers?

I can help. Hopefully on road somewhat early 2 weeks from today. We gain an hour too. Im staying at the Ramada. I can start with the ballons there then go to Sarge's. I was just going to wear my Sponge Bob flannel pants and my ribbon!
