Are you seriously doing that?  It's OK, ladies. I'm her mom.

Maybe. You can wear your grandson's flannel pants!

You know, my mom would be sayin' the same thing to me if she were alive to say it! :-)

We don't arrive at O'Hare until 1620 so I am guessing I won't be able to help.  So is it the Ramada Inn one first and then Sarge's?  Can't guarantee I will be wearing flannels but I may be wearing purple Uggs. And I know what music you will be listening to!

Sarge's is from 5:30 - 10:00.  The invite on this group says 5:00 but he told me 5:30 today when I talked to him.  The first part is socializing - meeting everyone we've been chatting with!  At 7:00 they are serving food and will have info/speaker and such.  I can tell you, Sarge if full of info.   I know we won't be staying the whole time, but I figure we'll get there sometime soon after it starts to meet people and then hang out for food and info.  Since we'll be getting up VERY early, I won't be out late.

Are you going to the one at the Ramada Inn?  Also, I know I will have to get up early to be at the gate by 0630...so I won't be out late.  I am really interested in the info as well.

Me?  I'm going to Sarge's.  I don't think I'll make the Ramada Inn one.  I don't know exactly when I'll get there, but I want to get there with time to meet those of you who are there (hence the balloon idea to help us identify each other easily in a large room with lots of people).

I have not decided if I am going to Sarge's or not.   Ramada is a yes because we are staying there.   I did put a maybe on Sarge's.   My mom may not want to go to both but my husband will be with me so I may be able to convince him to go for a little while.    I also want to get to bed by at least 10 to be able to get up early.  I will be loosing an hour of sleep,  LOL

I don't think I am going to Sarge's for the simple reason that I am also staying at the Ramada, and after the flight, anxiety over the fact that I hate to fly, rental car...etc.  I think I may just find myself a "Dirty Martini" and plunk my fanny right at the bar!!!

Tonja welcome to the group the FB page is https://www.facebook.com/NavyRecruitTrainingCommand please join us there too.

We love hearing our boys are talking about us.    The support system with this group is AWESOME,   they have really gotten me through.  ]

oops forgot to add,  you need to click like on the top of the FB page then to your left there is a button for forums.   click there and you should be able to find us.   Lots of useful info as well.

Welcome Tonya! This is the most AMAZING group. I absolutely could not have gotten this far without them!!

I agree with Melissa, I think it is GREAT that our SR-SOON-TO-BE-SAILORS are talking about us hanging out together online.

Ditto what Melissa said Tonja.

@Melissa...your in FL right? You will be gaining an hour! Chicago is central time, an hour behind.

I think we may try to do both. Ramada for sure, then pop over for Sarge's. I'm just getting so excited!

Did someone just say "dirty Martin?"
