For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security
Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.
DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.
DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

**UPDATE 4/26/2022** Effective with the May 6, 2022 PIR 4 guests will be allowed. Still must be fully vaccinated to attend.
**UPDATE as of 11/10/2022 PIR vaccination is no longer required.
**UPDATE 7/29/2021** You now must be fully vaccinated in order to attend PIR:
In light of observed changes and impact of the Coronavirus Delta Variant and out of an abundance of caution for our recruits, Sailors, staff, and guests, Recruit Training Command is restricting Pass-in-Review (recruit graduation) to ONLY fully immunized guests (14-days post final COVID vaccination dose).

So the form letter FINALLY came today and now we know that our loved ones have a PIR date of 3/16. Anyone else out there? I need to start looking at hotels and plane tickets. I was trying to hold off until we had the actual date.

I think we are going to try to make it to the Meet & Greet; it sounds like fun. We are planning on taking the car over to base the night before and leaving it there. We will take the hotel shuttle to the PIR in the morning because they said the traffic is going to be so bad.

Attention Ship 089 Ribbon and scarf information to wear to PIR. I like this idea and think maybe our division should do this. Let me know your thoughts.. All the information is below. RIBBON INFO: (If you want to place a ribbon order please send the info below to me in a message so that I can get started on your ribbons). 1. Name of SR (first or last name, or what you want to be on the ribbon) 2. division number ... 3. PIR date 4. How many ribbons you want (suitable for men also, not frilly) 5. gold or silver letters (800 div's usually go with black ribbons and gold letters) 6. Your name and address for shipping 7. Your phone number in case I have any questions 8. Your email address 9. Is your sailor in bootcamp band or choir? (900 Div’s a music note added to ribbons) 10. Do you have another family member who is active duty/reserves/retired/veteran of the military? (flag added to each ribbon to honor them) 11. Will you be paying with PayPal or Mailing your payment? 12. How did you hear about my ribbons and other items? And have you “liked” my page on facebook? How to Pay for Ribbons: Your total order ships for $6.00. The ribbons are $6.50 each. If you buy 4 or more ribbons the price drops to $6.00 each. So you get 4 ribbons with Priority Shipping for $30.00. You can get window decals that will ship with your ribbon order for $5.00 each. So all is well in the division? Were they all getting to call? We have some wives in this div that still have not spoken to their husbands so I thought I'd ask.

Very cool. We haven't heard from ours tonight, but did get a call last week. We have had several letters this week. What surprised me was that they trickled in over the days instead of all coming on the same day like the previous weeks. I was hoping that it meant that they weren't limited to only mailing letters on Sunday. Not really sure.

This was my first call and it was very brief. He said that they were supposed to get to call last Sunday but something happened and they all did not get to call. He said he may get another call next week. He only had 10 minutes and he wanted to call the girlfriend too so it was pretty short. He said last week was pretty busy and he did not have time to write.
