Ugh!  I hated reading this.  I'm so sorry.  My heart goes out to you and your family.  This whole experience is beyond stressful. I'll keep your family in my prayers.

Oh My! I am so sorry, gavinsmom:( It is terrible hearing a bad update!:( I was so looking forward to meeting you! I know that he will definitely grow from this experience and be a better man for it. He will make it through this! I wish I could make it better for you because I know it has to be so upsetting! I will keep you and Gavin in my prayers. Know that we are all here for you and to help support you through all of this! Did he get to say much about the Rough Housing? They are getting down to the wire I guess and are getting really tough now if he got bumped for rough housing! I asked my Nuke Moms on FB if they thought it would affect his rating and they didn't think so. I didn't say what happened just asked if a SR gets bumped a week if they thought it affected his rating and all. One said that one couldn't pass the swimming and got bumped and is in Nuke school now. I think he will be ok. It was just a hard lesson that he had to go through:( Hang in there we are holding you up in prayers.

thank you! I was looking forward to meeting you too.  thank you for your prayers, this is so upsetting!  I'm calling the recruiter today to see what I can find out.  My husband said they still need him to be a nuke, just need to teach him a lesson so praying all is going to be okay.  Hopefully they can still keep in touch in A school.

Did he say who he was "rough housing" with? I'm so sorry that happened!

Wow, that is the toughest update that I have had to read.  I am so sorry.  As a mom, my heart breaks for you.  I know that it has to be tough for you and your SR.  This is one tough lesson, but the lesson learned from this will only make him stronger and better from it. We might not be able to answer your questions about his Nuke rankings, but you might want to call the recruiter and ask those questions.  If they don't have the answers, they may be able to steer you in the right direction or get the answer for you.  May the God of all peace surround and comfort you and Gavin at this difficult time.

John 14:27

New King James Version (NKJV)

27 Peace I leave with you, My peace I give to you; not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.

Thank you!  I so need that verse right now!!!  this is heart breaking but know God is in control and have to put it in His hands.

I just pray that you find comfort.  You are most definitely in my prayers.

I feel so sorry that this happened to your SR, Gavinsmom. I wish that there was something that I could do to make it right for you. My heart goes out to you and your SR. We are always here for you.

thank you everyone for your thoughts and prayers.  this is heart breaking but he will grow and become a better man for this lesson learned the hard way.  I'm calling the recruiter today to find out his new division and try to get more details.  thanks again for your prayers!

the recuiter said it only changes his PIR date by a week, and his division of course :(  but his A school and nuke program are not effected.  Thankful!

I'm glad that even though this is a tough situation there is something good that is working within.  God will continue to work things for good. I'm sure you know that.  This is only a set back and not a destruction.  So sorry that we will not get to meet you next week, but know that we still hold you dear to our hearts and wish you and your SR all the success in the Navy.  I know that he will only soar from here on out because of this valuable lesson and because he has a mom who is there to love and encourage him to get back up when things try to keep him down.  Take care of yourself and that great young man of yours!

AS you all probably read on the other page, I got the God forbidden call that no mom wants to get the week before PIR!! My son will not be graduating 3/2:'(  I don't know if you all remember my very first call I received from him, Jan 25th about medical record. Well, they just told him today that they were going to send him home. :'(  I can't believe a week before PIR and they are saying he is going to have to come home!:'(  Said he could try to get a waiver that might take 1-2 months and still not get approved and be wasted time just sitting there waiting!:( Please pray for us and him to know what to do. Thanks
