Callie I am so sorry, I got a similar call last night. She got hurt and sent to medical. I am so upset about not being able to see her, but even more worried about her and her state of mind. I wish they could talk long enough to let us know what to expect next. Lesliet and Callie my prayers are with you and you SR's. Thank you everyone for getting me through this far I pray for all of our SR's and wish them only the very best.

Thanks ladies. This too shall pass. Right? Not a lot we can do about it. I agree it would be really nice to be able to talk longer than 30 seconds. :(

Prayers for your girl Mary I hope it is not anything really serious!

Thank you Callie. You are right, this too shall pass!! All we can do is stand behind them let them know how proud we are and that they can get through this.

my son is suppose to grad mar 2 im planning the trip to see him since he's off to HM in san antonio ....so excited.....i hear of this meet and greet....have any of you heard of this...thanks

There is info on the meet and greet at the Sarge-Sundance Saloon and the Ramada.  It is on the first page of the group under the weather picture.  You can click on the links for more info.  I am trying to go but since they end at 8 p.m. I am not sure I will get to Waukegan by then.  I might have my husband drop me off and let him go check into the hotel.  Then come back to get me.  I really want to meet everyone!

does anyone know if they've completed bs  yet

Ellen - I think ours is tonight so we should get calls tomorrow afternoon.  I hope I sleep tonight knowing he is doing this.

keeping my fingers crossed....im so proud of him. so tell me bout urs, r u going to PIR? if so going 2 meet & greet anywhere...where is ur hometown were burton, ohio thanks for the words of encouragement.

Hello ellen440!

Welcome! I'm one of the "veteran" moms on the PIR groups...I left you a comment on your page.

Yes, I wouldn't miss PIR for the world.  Just got my last letter and my son says no one knows what PIR stands for.  LOL

We are from South Elgin, IL.  We live about an hour or so from Great Lakes.  I am going to try to go to Sarge's meet and greet if we can pick up my mom and get up there in time.  It ends at 8 p.m.  My son's bunkmate is from Ohio??

Our division is wearing green scarfs to the PIR.  As you can see from the names of the divisions, we each got different colors. It was just a way to meet others from the division at the PIR and the meet and greets.

haha and apparently the word about the colored scarves got around to the SR's as well. My SR told me to wear green like I didn't already know! My girlfriends mom made flag ribbons with green trim. Hopefully that will be identifiable enough.

hmmm.... may wear my scarf on whole trip. waiting for the call and organizing the "stuff"!
