FINALLY!  My daughters recruiter gave me her ship/div. number last Wed. but didn't see anyone else in the same div. until a day or so ago! This has been the LONGEST week and a half ever!

Yes, it has been a long week and half...my letters to my daughter were starting to stack up!  If you use Facebook please add our group!  Nice to meet you and look forward to seeing you at PIR in April.

I just received mine today. What a relief. Now I can write!!! Lol

Welcome!  Thanks also for joining the Facebook Group...and yes finally we can write - I sent off six letters yesterday since I have been writing from the day she left!

Has anybody received a real letter yet? I'm still waiting ! :(

Now letter but still rereading the few lines she wrote on her Form Letter!  I hope to get one very SOON!

Finally able to get to my computer: I saw that DIV 121 has claimed Navy Blue Scarves from Lala Ribbon Queen PIR Ribbons.  I would like to ask DIV 122 if they are considering getting a scarf and could we chose the Gold Scarf with Navy Blue Anchor & DIV #?  This would stay with the Navy Traditional Colors.  Please let me know your thoughts.  THANKS.

DIV 122: If it is okay I have chosen Gold as our color and another mom on Facebook agreed that was a good choice...I have spoke with Lora with Unique Memory Makes / Lala Ribbon Queen PIR Ribbons and she made it official with some exceptions - the scarf can be gold with a blue anchor and DIV # but the ribbons have to be navy blue with gold letters.  She is not able to do navy letters as that is a hard color to find but she did say it looks good wearing the ribbon on the scarf.  Hope that everyone is excited as I am to represent the DIV #122.  Please get with Lora if you would like to order.  THANKS.

Well I will be ordering a scarf and still waiting for a letter keeping my fingers crossed that I get something this week!

Lala Ribbon has great prices and it will be fun to see all the moms with scarves on!

I meant to ask you before but did your son fly out of SA on Feb 15th? If so him and my daughter actually left for basic together!  I was so nervous about her flying!  I really would like to get one letter and I think I will be okay - I just need to know she is adapting to military life!  I would love to get a ton of letters but that one would make me happy till I got that "I AM A SAILOR" call!

Let me know if you need any contact information for the ribbons and / or scarves.

One last thing how are your travel plans coming along? I am going to drive to Chicago and I am staying at the Ramada Inn. I look forward to meeting you.
