Anyone else have a loved one in Ship 9 Division 091?  My son left 01/17/2012.  He will be going to Pensacola for his A school.

We think they are now working as a team! Today is usually my letter day. Will keep you posted on my info. that I receive. Just keep praying, just keep praying.  :)

I pray every night :)

Good morning all.  Guess what?  16 days till we hug our SR's. HooRah!!!!!  Don't know if that's the right way to spell it, but you all get the drift.  Hoping to get some letters today.  And Hopefully with some good news.  Today is Day 5-1 which means they are starting to learn about firefighting.  My husband's excited about this week since he's a professional firefighter.  It will give him and our SR something more in common.  I hope everyone has a great day!

In the Navy, it is Hoo Yah (I think that "Rah" is the Marines).  It's all good though.  I really hope I get at least one letter today.  I know my SR writes to the people who have written her so my very few letters are short and not too informative.  I have asked a few others if she is any more detailed with them and, unfortunately, the answer is no.  I guess it is easier to write pretty much the same thing to everyone.  I understand.

I understand about your SR and your husband.  My SR's grandfather was a Florida State Shooting Champion many years ago.  He was amazed at K's ability with the 9mm the last time she saw him.  He is more excited than we are I think to find out the results of her marksmanship training.

Then Hoo Yah it is. :)  I have seen both used on the websites, and wasn't sure which was correct, so thank you very much.  I don't want to sound like a moron to my son. lol.  He actually looked at the Marines, almost went there and changed to the Navy.  I like this choice much better. :)

I thought it was AHoy! :)

Hell Week is over. I finally heard the word artillery. Is stil asking who all is coming to PIR. Replied today. 14 Divisons graduating. Too large to be inviting everyone.

I received a letter from my SR today that he wrote Sunday.  He said I would probably receive a call before I received the letter, but no call as of yet.  He said there is a call coming, but I don't want to get my hopes up.  I really hope he calls soon.  I will be keeping my phone by my side.  People do look at me funny carrying my cell phone into the bathroom though. lol.  He sounded really excited to be getting so close to graduation.  He said they had earned one flag at that point, but didn't say which one.  He also said they were preparing for drill inspection and hoped to flag it.  It definitely sounds like they have become more of a team.  That is great news.

I finally got two letters today dated last Thursday and Sunday.  The first flag was for doing "awesome on our zone inspection :D"  She also said they MIGHT get a flag for the PFA they just took.  This was written on Thursday and no mention of it in Sunday's letter.

She is excited about the division flag/shirt.  I agree with your son, it is "epic."

I hope to get another letter tomorrow or Saturday but a call would be even better!

I saw somewhere that 091 was supposed to be able to call today.  I really hope they were right.  I am a nervous wreck waiting on this phone to ring.  I am so afraid I might forget to grab it and miss the call.

I just talked to my SR. He sounded great, although they failed their drill inspection.  They work together well under pressure, but they're still having issues.  We'll just keep praying.  It was so good to hear his voice.

Oh, That is so great. Our power has been off and on for the past hour or so. So I havent received a call. Is she a sailor yet?
