Hello ladies!!

My name is Tiffany and i live in Texas. My sailor Anthony and I have been together for almost four years now and he just graduated basic training Feb.10th. He is now in meridian ms doing his a school for ls. This whole experience has been one of the hardest things i have EVER been through. Its really lonely and I miss him so much!! I guess i'm trying to find people who know what i'm going through...none of my friends or family really understand. ANY advice at all is greatly appreciated!!!

Thank you =D

If he is an E-3 or below, he is not authorized to take a dependent overseas.  E-4 and above can, but if you are not "on the orders" before they are issued, he has to request to have you command sponsored, and he may have to extend his orders to allow for an accompanied tour.  This is not a quick process and can take several months, maybe more.

I don't want to scare you, but it is a very real thing.  Just look through all the discussions here, you will find young wives who are left behind.  It has happened more than once.  I would not rush a marriage out of fear, but you have to talk realistically about the facts of overseas orders. They happen, and couples then have two or three years apart as newlyweds.  It isn't an impossible situation, but it certainly is stressful and not fun.

Thank you for all the info =) I hate that no two situations are the same so I can't really prepare myself. I guess i have to hope for the best but expect the worse =/

My sailor graduated in the begging of November and is in A school till the middle of next year or little later. He is in the nuclear field so has a longer schooling. I just recently visited him in my first plane flight from Indiana to South Carolina. I was scared at first but I think my excitement calmed me down. I also joined the navy and shipped out on June for boot camp. going to be hard but I am sure we will make it threw. I am going to try to live with him the begging of next year. What keeps me going is work but just got laid off and trying to see if someone would hire me for a few months. But I really like when he texts me ever morning before he goes to school and when he gets back. Skype is very helpful to.

Hey everyone, I am so happy I found this site. My husband is in TX awaiting to class up for A- school which is taking forever. I miss him like crazy! I know exactly what all of you are going through. He is going to be a HM and hopefully as soon as his A-school is over I will get to be with him again. But he has been in a holding division for a month now and the wait is insane for HM school.
