For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security
Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.
DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.
DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

**UPDATE 4/26/2022** Effective with the May 6, 2022 PIR 4 guests will be allowed. Still must be fully vaccinated to attend.
**UPDATE as of 11/10/2022 PIR vaccination is no longer required.
**UPDATE 7/29/2021** You now must be fully vaccinated in order to attend PIR:
In light of observed changes and impact of the Coronavirus Delta Variant and out of an abundance of caution for our recruits, Sailors, staff, and guests, Recruit Training Command is restricting Pass-in-Review (recruit graduation) to ONLY fully immunized guests (14-days post final COVID vaccination dose).

Im a stalking mom also except when I got mail on wednesday I met the mail man at the box. I made a pitiful noise after scanning the mail. My mailman was great and told me to be patient. He knew exactly what I was looking for. (he should whole family combined he has picked up 25 letters) Yesterday I met him again and his comment was "Sorry doesnt look like it is in there today" I was kinda embarrassed so I just said sorry and he told me never to be sorry for being a loving mom. Even though I didnt get my letter those words made me feel good all day.

no letter in todays mail it seems like other divisions got them but no of us in division 120. lets all pray we get on tommorrow.

My name is Kathy, my son Joe is also in div 120. He is going on to Texas after bootcamp to be a HM. Where is your sons A school and are you going to PIR? I hope so I cant wait to meet everyone.

Nope... No letter today... I do not expect one now till next wednesday. I remember hearing that they get 2 more phone calls home but I cant find where I read that and I dont remember what weeks they were. Did you happen to have read that? If so do you remember when that was? I have a prior engagement that I cant miss on Wednesday and fear that is when We will get the call. I so can NOT miss it. I will beable to get the mail before I leave but I hope the call isnt Wednesday.

They get a total of 3 calls..unless they earn more. The first call is when they arrive at boot camp to let you know they made it safe! The second call will be at 3-4 weeks! Most likely 4 weeks. We are getting closer!! The call could come at any time during the day and any day of the week! It will be an 847 area code phone number, I believe. The last call is usually a couple days before PIR to tell you they are officially a Sailor!!!! Y'all should join the Recruit Training Command Facebook page! When people start getting calls they post it on that Facebook page telling everyone what ship/div is calling so they can get by the phone!!

Hi Kathy, My son is going to Pensacola, Fla. I don't know what HM is, and I don't know what the exact name of his job, he is doing Air Rescue. You might know a little more than me. Sorry. I am planning on going to the PIR. I am from Austin, Texas and we will probably leave on April 12, 2012. I am going to look into flights, hotels and all that fun and stressful things. I have no idea where to start.

My son too will be going to Pesacola, FL for A school. Although he won't be doing Air Rescue, he will be studying Criptology (firewall/de-coding) for the computer system for the Navy. I suppose I'll meet you on Ap. 13 at PIR. Looking forward to meeting all the Moms & Dads!!

We are not flying because we a planning a vacation to Missouri (my sisters). We are going to PIR then back to Missouri for the week. I did however get 3 rooms at:

It is $59.00 per night and looks to be the closest I could find. I have family that lives there in Chicago but I wanted time for just us. Good Luck and cant wait to meet you.

I just booked rooms at Red Carpet and they told me they have free buses to the navy base.
I think this is AWESOME!
