Anyone else have a loved one in Ship 9 Division 091?  My son left 01/17/2012.  He will be going to Pensacola for his A school.

I felt so informed after scouring this site for the 4 months my SR was in DEP that it felt good to get my questions/concerns/etc. reaffirmed by the veterans.  I was on BC moms today and didn't feel out of my element.  I don't know how much I will/can contribute but I will try and also will try to be accurate. FTLW you and diannep are a wonderful source of knowledge for us - I appreciate it.

I am going to go ahead and speak for all the veteran moms on here and say you are wlecome and thank you! We love what we do! We always welcome new veteran moms...adn you all will be very soon!

I want to thank you also FTLW  you have helped in alot of ways by knowing answers to my questions. Thank you again so very much!!

TY to you too!

I also tried to win the Trivia Tuesday contest and was milliseconds behind the winner.  So frustrating.  I know we all wanted to see our SR's.  But I guess we are destined to wait until graduation.  I hope everyone has a great Tuesday.  9 days 19 hours and 32 minutes till we see them march through those doors.

I was voting at game time so I didn't get to try.  Oh well, only 9 1/2 more days!

Good try!!!

Thank you FTLW.  Today's a much better day.  9 days and counting.  And the song stuck in my head is Red Solo Cup.  Been singing it since I woke up.  I wonder if it's my subconscience telling me something. lol

...and TY to you! HA,HA,HA! Been singing it all day! I was going to upload it...but there are a few "questionable words" and ummmm....scantily clad young ladies...go figure!  (sigh) ...so I won't! Don't want to get in trouble! LOL

Lol.  That is too funny.  That video is what really makes the song. haha.  My brain derailed yesterday and moved to the Village People's "In the Navy".  So now I've been singing that.  I had to watch the video on You Tube and laughed so much.  I can't believe I had never watched that video before.  I'm thinking about posting it on my SR's facebook page to surprise him when he gets priveledges again.  He'd love me for that. LOL

NavySoccerMom - in a letter from my brother a couple weeks back he talked about how much they all miss music so they all sing to make up for it.  He LOVED Red Solo Cup around the time of his departure for BC and has had it stuck in his head since.  He said he would start singing it and the rest of the division would catch on and sing with him.  He said he thought Toby would be proud.  ;)

ProudNavySister, I find that very funny.  My SR can't STAND country music.  Just trying to picture her singing anything by Toby Keith makes for a giggle.  It will stick with me all day, I am sure.  Thank you.
