Joanne

Me too, been looking into flights and my gosh it's harder that what I thought. I will try again tmrrw. I have to get some zzz's so I can be okey tmrrw at work.  I have been going to bed soo late since all this started, just can't sleep.  My brain is going thousand and one miles per hr. and I can't stop it.

Have a Blessed night! Lets hope and pray that this will be our week!!

No letter today, my little one and I will check again tomorrow.  Hope we have better luck!!!!

Blessing

Hi Gracie,

No letter today for us. Keep praying . We should hear something this week. Or we will all go crazy. I am almost there.

Have Faith,

Joanne

No letter here in Cal. either. I had a real bad day yesterday reading too many stories of moms receiving "sad" letters from their SR's. My husband made me go offline, crying too much, missing my Anthony wayyyyyyyyyy too much.  Please, please let's keep this journey on a positive note and know our boys will come out Men in the end.

God Bless you all and your boys.

Rose

Hello Rose,

The same thing happened to me yesterday. My husband said the same thing to me. This is the hardest thing for all of us. I agree let's keep this positve. Its so hard. Keep praying our boys are doing good. They know how much we love them and that will keep them all going.

Joanne

Hi Joanne,

Sorry to hear of your tears, I think it's inevitable for our emotions to take over.

So... on a positive note... Can't wait to get my first letter!!

I spoke with a mom on the phone last night and she mentioned that when people asked her about her boy and to "say hello to him for us", she responded with a gesture of giving that person an address label of her SR and replied back, "he would love to hear from you directly, please send him a note".  I thought that was suburb!! I'm going to do that straight away.

Also, if you have extra postcards laying around, send them on with encouraging words. I have so many from all over that were never sent out. It's a quick way of letter our boys know that we're thinking of them often without having to spill our guts out every letter, haha!

Hope that helps.

Rose

Hmm... No mail today for us (I didn't expect a letter) but they must be on their way. On the Facebook page Amanda got her letter today. She must live in Chicago area. I am so excited I cant sleep.

Sweet Dreams To All,

Kathy

No letter today either! Bummer, I am so anxious to get his letter.  Some days I feel I am okey but others like today, I just want to hear from him so bad.  My younger son was telling me today as we were eating cereal for dinner( I had a long day at work, got off at almost 8pm) that he misses his brother.  I asked "how do you feel" he replied "I feel less teen protected" I asked, "what do you mean?" he says"yeah, like I don't have  a teenager to protect me anymore"  i said " but u have daddy and me" he says "it's not the same, I don't have a Teen to protect me"  I didn't know whether to cry or  laugh.  It saddens me to think he feels like no one else but his big brother can protect him.  I guess cuz he was always with him.  We miss him sooo much!!!

Chiquitos

I think we all have our days. I hope today is the day we all hear from our kids. I also have a younger son that is greatly affected by Joe leaving. I have 3 kids but Michael (our youngest) is having the hardest time.  He has always said Joe is his best friend even though there is 6 years difference in age. Poor Danielle (our middle child) is trying to be the big sister and step into Joes shoes. It is kinda cute and sad at the same time. She has started running with Michael at night like Joe use to, she helps him with his homework but when it comes to the video games she can only play for about 10 minutes she says or she starts losing brain cells. Michael has had some really bad nights so she even lets him sleep in her room on the trundle bed. I am so greatful to her but Im not sure what I will do this fall when she goes to Michigan to college..

Blessings, Kathy

NO LETTER, I can't wait until we start getting them.  Has anyone in our division gotten a letter?  Please let us know so we can at least know you child is doing ok and know that soon we will get ours.  Kathy it is hard, I only have Erick and my younger son, who is only 8yrs old.  He was spoiled by brother more than by dad or me.  So, even though yesterday was his day of missing his brother, he hasn't cried.  He told dad that we weren't going to see him cry.  He is tough, way more that us.  It will be tough for him and you when your daughter leaves so you have to keep him very busy.  Since my son left we are getting home almost past 7pm everyday and when we come home early we are wondering what to do.  I guess so we won't think so much and miss him even more.  I finally booked my flights arriving at O'Hare Int'l.  Do you know how far the airport is from the Red Carpet hotet?  I want to book my rooms there also.  How far is the Red carpet from the base?  As I am writing right now my son is having so much fun with a pair of parakeets, he is letting them eat from his hand and they are kinda biting him so he is having a blast with that.  It's nice to hear him laugh so hard at something so simple as feeding his birds.  I also have a parrot and when my son laughs he laughs so we tell him, the parrot is laughing at him.  Let's hope that we get our letters SOON!!

What about meet & greet, where are you going, to sarge's or where so I can rsvp there and we can get to know more about our boys and families.

Hope to meet you soon!!  Let's keep praying for our boys!!

Hi Everyone,

No letter here today. My 10 year old ran to the mailbox and came up the driveway shaking his head no. When he came into the house he slapped the mail on the kitchen table and yelled only bills. It did make me laugh. Keep on praying ladies!!!!

Joanne
