Hi Navy Family,

We started a fb group called "Loved Ones of Groton, CT Sailors", and would love to hear from you. Many of us have Sailors that are brand new to Groton, or have SR's that are going there after PIR. We are looking to learn from each other, and welcome others who can show us the ropes!

Where do I go to get on your facebook page?  My son is graduating BESS on March 26th.  Then on to a-school to be a  ET-Radioman

Hi betsy...my name is Jan. i have a son, Max, that is Groton. He went thru PIR in February of 2011 (time goes so fast...lol), and after all his schooling and training for submarines...he ended up being stationed there. He is currently at sea, but i hope to hear from him soon. I have not been on N4Ms for a while, but when i saw this message on my email...i thought i would respond to let you know that i am happy to answer any questions anyone may have. Wether it be about dorm rooms, BESS, graduations, rules, etc...I know that when i left my sons PIR group, i felt lost going to the BESS groups. There were not as many people at our beck and call to answer questions about the next step our sons/daughters were taking as there was in the bootcamp/PIR groups... I hope to be of some help....:)  also...i tried to look this group on FB and it kept bringing me back to this page????..i will try again...:)

It seems that my reply to both your posts have disappeared into cyberspace.. if you search on facebook for Loved Ones of Groton, CT Sailors, and still get sent back here, send me a friend request/or message on Navy4Moms and we'll figure out how to get you there!

 All the best to you!

~Betsy
