Hi Rose!

Omg I'm so happy for you! So I'm assuming we will all be getting phone calls soon?! How long was your conversation?! I work at night and sleep during the day! I hope I don't miss my bfs phone call ill freak out!

Hi Claudiilana,

Thanks, it was so good to hear my son's voice. Yes, he said that there were only 10 guys allowed to call and the rest will follow this week. Hang in there girl, it will come!!

Make sure you have your phone with you while working. Put it on vibrate so you can slip out or go to the bathroom when the call comes in. The calls have been coming in during the evening, around dinner time, so most likely you won't miss his call.

Good luck!!

Rose

Hey everyone!!! Today is Trivia Tuesday!!! If you haven't already, go "like" the US Navy Recruit Training Command Facebook page and at 12pm central time they will post a question and whoever answers it right first gets to have a picture taken of their division of choice!!!!! We could see our handsome boys!!! The answers arefound on the RTC website and have to be exactly like it is on that page! I will find the official rules and post them on here!!

Trivia Tuesday Contest

by U.S. Navy Recruit Training Command on Monday, December 12, 2011 at 10:14am ·

Each Tuesday at high noon Central Time, we will hold a the Trivia Tuesday Contest. We will post a trivia question on our Facebook wall. The answer to that question may be found on our website at www.bootcamp.navy.mil. The first person to correctly answer the question will be rewarded with a group photograph of the division of their choice which we will post on our Facebook wall.

TRIVIA TUESDAY CONTEST RULES

1.  All answers must be posted under the same thread as the question. Do NOT post your answer sepately from the question on the wall. Let us be clear: DO NOT POST YOUR ANSWER AS A SEPARATE POST FROM THE QUESTION THREAD. Such posts will be disqualified and deleted.

2.  Your answer must be posted exactly  as it appears on our website. This includes spelling, punctuation, all of it. If your answer is not posted exactly as it appears on our website, it will be incorrect. The purpose of this is to do just as your recruits are being trained to do: attention to detail.

3.  Do not post any more information than what we ask for. For example, if the answer we seek is one sentence within a paragraph or paragraphs of other sentences, do not post that entire paragraph. The one sentence that contains the correct answer is all that we seek. Posting an entire page of info or multiple sentences or paragraphs will not garner you a win.

4.  The same division can only be photographed once. Anyone whose division has already been photographed is welcome to continue playing the contest, however, should that person win, they would have to choose another division to be photographed. Recruits that are in the FIT (Fitness Intensive Training) or in RCU (Recruit Convalescent Unit) cannot be photographed for privacy reasons.

5.  The person who wins can request that their recruit be front and center in the photo, however, there is no guarantee that we can make that happen. It all depends on the setting in which the division is being photographed. There are times when we cannot rearrange them to put someone specific up front. Please do not request the names of other recruits to also be front and center as we will not honor that request.

6.  We will photograph the winning division as time permits in the division's schedule as well as the photographer's schedule. Sometimes the photo will be posted the same day, other times it might be a week or so later.

7.  Other job responsibilities take priority over this contest, thus, should our office be short-handed or tending to more pressing job duties, the contest will either be delayed by a day or not held at all that week.

8.  We will not tolerate inappropriate comments posted on our wall from those who did not win. Unfortunately, yes, this has happened in the past. This is supposed to be a fun opportunity to see a photo of one's division and posting rude comments and whining how it isn't fair somebody else won simply takes away from that fun.

9.  You have to be quick! Past questions have been answered as quickly as a few seconds while others took a bit longer, for instance, one whole minute. Many study up on the website so they know precisely where to look for the answer the moment it's posted.

Anyone else get phone calls yet?? I still haven't!! I thought for sure we would get one today! :(

No calls here in Texas yet.... Let's hope tmrrw we will get one.  I am trying not to get so upset over it but honestly I can't wait 'till I get my call.  I didn't get a letter either, so I am praying I get one tmrrw.  Last week I got it on Thursday so am hoping this week it will be the same although I would prefer to get the sooner.  The week seems even longer having to wait until Thurs. for a letter especially since I haven't gotten his call.  I am trying to keep calm and man that's tooo hard.  Hopefully we get some news tmrrw.  I hope Erick is getting our letters so he won't think we are not writing to him.

Sorry I hadn't posted anything, I was out of town and had no access to a computer, I was however able to read all posts through my cell but can't reply.

Let's keep praying for our SR's and for our letters & calls!!

One more day to wait for a phone call or mail but one less day to PIR!!!!   YEY~~~

Blessing,

Gracie
