Im so sorry to hear this. I will keep you all in our prayers.

Louisianamom, I'm so sorry to hear that for him to get that far and this to happen..... But I am with you, god has a special plan for us all and we don't know until we get there.:) The very best of luck to you and your son, hopefully everything turns out fine. I will and always keep you in my thoughts, please let us know how he makes out once he gets home....:....
I am so sorry for both of you. We will pray that they can remove it and that they do find it is nothing. Praise the Lord he went in so they found it.

oh dear - hugs and prayers for jacob and you.  i will pray that all works out in the best way possible for jacob and his future.

I will be praying that everything turns out well for you and your family.  I know he is disappointed but I'm glad that it was found so it can be taken care of.  God bless you both.

23 days ladies, been to quite around here....... Haven't had any contact since March 9th!!!! Well from what I read today marks the middle of week 5 for our SR's hope they have all come together and are doing ok....
I think they started week 4 on tuesday. That would make Fri. picture day for us. Not sure where that comes from. Somenody heard a date from their SR at some point. I am lucky to get a short note with little info. LOL

I got a letter today from my daughter.  It was written on March 15.  She said they were going to start Seaman Ship and marching without the RDC's on the next day, which would be March 16. She said she couldn't wait.   She said everything is going fine. She sounded very upbeat.  It was just a one page letter, but I'll take anything.

Teachermom:

I think you are right about starting week 4 on Tuesday.  In my daughter's letter on March 15, she said they were 3-4 (week 3 Day 4)

Hey ML that's great, just got off the phone with my mom she also got a letter from my son and she said hers was dated the 13th and he said it was 3-2 so yes Teacher mom was right I guess that means its week 4-3 today.... I don't know how that works but I'm happy he sounds good and he wrote to his grandparents!!!!! He did say that he is performing at the two graduations prior to his so was happy to be able to Wear his Dress Blues 3 times....lol

That's great.  They post pictures from each PIR on their Facebook page, so maybe we can get an early glimpse of our SRs.

Just received another letter from my Son...... He sounds very well!!! He has signed a submarine waiver and picked his rate EM (electricians mate) on regular and nuclear machines!!!! He has a job right now in basic he is a Dental Yeoman.. This week is gonna be ruff, Test, 2 Inspections and Live Fire which he says he is looking forward to!!!
Thought I would pass on he dated my letter march 16 (3-4).
Also invade anyone else is curious, If your SR's are attending A school elsewhere from great lakes, he said everything has to be shipped, nothing at all can come back to base- I can bring his phone to him at the USO office in Ohara....
