Hey guys,

My name is Monika and I am Kims niece, plenty of you know Kim. She told me about the packages awhile ago and she knew I was into couponing and asked if we could get some items together. I have given her a few small boxes of items from my stockpile. Last month I got to look at the list for needed items for the Makin Island and I realized how many of those items you guys can get for FREE or cheap with using coupons. I was able to donate a bunch of gum and razors I barely paid anything for, the razors were totally free I just paid tax on them and the gum was $0.28 a pack.

This month a new list means new ways to get items for free! Now for those that aren't familiar with how to coupon you can read a bit about how to get started there.

Place to print coupons:
Redplum Coupons
Smartsource Coupons
Coupons.com
Coupon Network

For April so far there have been some deals already:

$1/1 Reach Floss from 3/4 RP=FREE at Wal-mart and you may make a little money

$1/1 Reach Toothbrush from 3/4 RP=Cheap toothbrushes, possible drug store deal

$0.09 Lifesavers Candy!

There will be plenty of more deals coming and each month there are always freebies/cheap items. I will post the ones I know of here for you guys.

If you have ANY questions please feel free to ask, I know couponing can seem overwhelming but it's really easy once you get the hang of it.

Also another way of getting items for the care packages is samples, tons of companies give these out all the time and I post the legit ones I also sign up for via my website.

Also for those already couponing and have coupons you won't use, try Coupon Cutters Co, she has a trade in program for those unwanted coupons and you can use your credit to purchase the coupons you can use! I personally use her.

Oh and YES, Aunt Kim is SUPER WOMAN to me :D

I just got the 55 floss coupons I was waiting on and I have 10 more coming.

Ok guys I have a request, if you happen to go to Wal-mart check and see if your store has the $0.88 Reach floss. I believe my store pulled it altogether and this was the floss I was hoping to get for free for the boxes. If you have it come back and let me know and I will send you some of these coupons for them that I have.

My local grocery store doubles coupons and I will be able to get some that way but I can only get 1 per day so i wanna be sure we get all these picked up for the ship.

Also check your Wal-mart clearance items, my store has a lot of theirs out in lawn and garden. I found some little lego stuff for $1, stickers for $0.50, the theme is humor so I thought maybe we can use those items somehow.

Monika:  I just printed off my very first coupons from coupon.com and cannot believe how many items they have that I use all the time....also items I can save on to pack for the troops.   Thank you so much!

You welcome Julie, I would also advise if you use facebook a lot to go "like" the company page(for example, Boogie Wipes) as many companies are using facebook as free advertising and they release exclusive coupons on facebook.

I posted some Walgreens deals for some freebie items starting this Sunday.

Monika:  I printed off the Mitchum coupon.....only mine came off the printed with "Walmart" printed on it.  Can I still use this at Walgreens?

Monika:  I just got back from Walgreens and they took my coupons even though it had "Walmart" printed on it.  They said  long as it was a manufacturer coupon (which it was) they would use it.   Thank you!  I now have 2 Lady Mitchum deodorants to pack in my box.

I printed off some coupons from Coupon.Com before going to the store last night.  I saved $7 on  $22 tab.......that's around 1/3 of the total price.  From $22 (and some change) to $15 (and some change).  I'm hooked!

I agree with Monika - I think Walmart has pulled the Reach floss.  I've been to 3 different Walmarts in Pinellas County, FL, and they've all been out of it.  That only happens when there's a run on batteries, water, and bread during hurricane season.  Two different Target stores didn't have it either.  Very strange.  Florida is kind of the "ugly stepsister" when it comes to couponing.  Our stores don't double coupons and Publix doesn't do the Penny Item.  Makes it hard to get stuff for free, though I was able to get a batch of Carefree pantiliners from various stores for free.  One Walmart tried to refuse to take the coupon, saying it didn't apply to the "travel size" .  I had to show the clerk three times that it said "any Carefree product" before she would go get a manager to approve it.  Please keep posting the deals.  Sometimes we get more tolerant clerks who will take coupons without giving us a hassle.

HOT Coupon for a free bar, it should arrive in 4-6 weeks so if we get them now we should get the coupons in time for next months group click here to get the coupon

I'm on it Monika....thank you!
