glad for the info.  Can they wear regular clothing at any time during A School?

I understand they eventually will be allowed to but they have to "phase up".  How long it takes depends on the instructors.  They will know after they get there.  I plan to wait until mne gets to A school then when he gives me the word I'll ship him a box of clothes.  By then he'll also know what he can have and how much space he has.  Plus, he may decide not that he is "rich" that he wants to buy new clothes.  I've heard a lot of them go spend crazy at the NEX when they get to A school.

Thanks for answering my question.  I'll think I'll do the same.

So excited, ladies...I got two...yes count them...two letters from my SR.  And these were real letters!  He is "in the groove" as he put it and not getting IT for mistakes any more.  He says several in the division are having trouble marching correctly and it makes them all get IT.  I immediately wrote and reminded him that he had his band director to thank for the 4 years of marching band experience he has that most of them don't.  He never was a very patient person.

He said they are getting to write more so to please send more stamps.  I mailed a book of stamps to him on Tuesday, so hopefully he will get that tomorrow.

We are correct on the count.  Today should be 4-3 so tomorrow should be picture day for them.

Also found out he is singing, not playing an instrument.  They have finally learned the last of the PIR performance, so I'm looking forward to catching a glimpse of him in the pictures starting next week.

He also apologized for not calling.  He got 2 minutes and just had to talk to his girlfriend.  I understand and am thankful he recognized we wanted to hear from him, too.  Maybe next time.

YEA!   I am so happy that you got letters.

Next Friday is the day, ladies...look at every picture and Video posted of the PIR for 3/30 and 4/6 for a glimpse of your SR.  Since they are performing, we should get a sneak preview.  I'll be looking at the chorus for a handsome young man with red hair and glasses....hmmm guess I won't be able to see the hair...so

Mine will be the one in the white Sailor Hat!!!!

will it be on the facebook page?

They have pictures on the NRTC facebook page, but some people post pictures on N4M and there are usually videos on YouTube.  We can all search and then tell the rest where we find something.

Just posted a requestt for PIR 3/30 to share pictures of our SR. Told them we would return the favor to those following us. Thanks FTLW for the suggestion.

Also posted on 4/6.  Oops...Thanks go to LaLa not FTLW.  She's the one creating my ribbons for our family to wear.

Thanks to all who came up with the suggestion and to you teachermom for following through.  It would be so great to see our SRs even it it is just a glimpse.

We heard today from our son.  He called and spoke to my husband for 4 minutes, my husband timed it!  He said he was good and was awaiting orders to go to Washington DC as Ceremonial Unit after RTC.  We are so proud of him!:)
