I live in Dallas and am an Aggie mom! My son, who is in Pensacola, graduated last May, and my daughter will graduate May 2012 (she isn't going into the Navy). Let me know if you will be in the Dallas area sometime.

Oh that is exciting! My son that just went to BC Mon. Was the Aggie....only one year then decided on Navy thing. Really wanted him to do corps and graduate first, but they don't always follow our plan for them...ha! My son that graduates this year was headed to TAMU in fall and went to SEAL and Whoopin Weekend BUT now he will go play football at SNU in OK instead. His name is Kyle so wished he was playing on Kyle field next year, but is excited. My husband works works in Dallas and we live in Maypearl...I teach in Waxahachie at HS. My BC son will go to Pensacola for His A school :D

Hi, not in your area, In the dallas area, and have am an Aggie mom!!  My Aggie is not military, have daughter w/ PIR next week, and son entering june 4

Hi all5roc. Whoop! Ha! My son that left for BC was/is the Aggie. Congrats on your daughter'sPIR! How was BC for her? Know you are proud of both of them....they must have an awesome mom :)
Hi Donna.
We actually live in College Station. I am Aggie class of '83. And my sailor son went to TAMU-GALVESTON for a year and a half. He plans to eventually finish up here on main campus. He is currently in Power School in Goose Creek, SC and will graduate on May 3.

Not an Aggie Mom, but work at A&M.  My husband graduated from here and we just stayed.  Two sons in Navy, one attending A school in Great Lakes and one just finished A school in Pensacola...awaiting C school later this month.  My Rudder High School junior plans on joining after school next year.  He's already talked to the recruiter.  (I should have a talk with that recruiter, but too late, I'm out of sons)  I guess it is in their blood.  My husband was in for 4 years and his Dad is retired Navy.

Mary 123sons wow!! You are Navy strong :D. I know you are so proud of them all and what a great mom! My oldest, who is finishing this month in Japan, was at TAMU in 10-11 and my youngest there now. He just got a job at Callaway House so will be staying to work. He is TCMS major. Where on campus do you work?

I work in Chemistry in the Business Office.  Did your son enjoy Japan?  My son in Pensacola would like to go there after C school.  That is one of the many places he would like to go.

He went from Pensacola to Japan! He will be in Jacksonville, FL when he returns! We love TX but it is sure nice to visit FL! He seems to really like Japan. They just went to the Cheery Blossom Festival. I was jealous! :) He misses his gf that is a senior at A&M so has been homesick some and ready to be back closer to us....hopefully to us too, but he would never say that! ;)

Aggiemom here from Austin! I have a 5th yr senior and a sophomore at TAMU.  My senior is joining the USMC. Whoop! :)

USMCmom! Great to meet you! I am just south of Dallas and have a Sophmore there too!! My sailor would have been a senior if he was still there! Congrats!! My parents live I Georgetown so not too far from you! Happy Mother's Day!!

Donna, my son took the same path yours did. lol - he would've been class of '13, but as we always say, he decided he liked the Corps a little more than classes. So he took the asvab and whattya know - is getting ready for YEARS more classes as a nuke. lol  Darn kid.

We're out by Abilene, I'm Shan or Shannon, and my crazy kid was a Spartan, FDT Color Guard commander (whoop!) and his PIR is 07/03.
