My son begins Nuclear Power School next Thursday 10/13/2011, Class 1107.   Is there anyone else in the same class?  Now the fun begins.

We were in Charleston last summer. It is really nice. I had a good time strolling around the historic area taking pictures which the guys were on a fishing trip.

We are in Franklin, which is about 35 minutes north of Bryan-College Station, home of Texas A&M.

I spoke with my son yesterday he said a bunch of the EM's are grad and go but he is an ET and still does not know if he is going to Ballston Spa or not. He heard they will be sending the ET's in dribs and drabs and has no idea what he will be doing during grad hold yet or if there will even be a grad hold.

Wow! He found that out fast. Is he on leave for the whole entire time (3/31-4/16) at least? I don't think I've ever heard of anybody get such a short amount of time between Power and Proto :)

My husband and I cannot wait to know if we are staying in GC or moving to NY. No preference, but it would be nice to know if there's a lot of packing up in our future.

missa_m I heard the unaccompanied sailors tend to get sent to NY while those with dependents stay in SC not sure if that is true or not.

2 more weeks to go, everyone :) Wishing all your sailors a great finish to their Power School career!

My son just sent me his graduation photo from Nuclear Power School class 1107, it is awesome they are wearing the dress blue uniform.

Good luck to everyone on tomorrow's comprehensive exam and congratulations to all the Power School class 1107 grads and their families.

Can you believe it's here? I can't wait for it to be 5PM tomorrow- that's when they find out if they pass or fail comp. Good luck to all!

Waiting for the test results was nerve-racking!  I can just imagine how it was with them.  For those of you going, have a good time on Friday!  I was hoping to meet some of you but....

Just heard from mine about an hour ago.  Can't wait for Friday's graduation!

Yes I heard from my son at 6 pm, he passed the comp too so he will graduate Friday as an ET. He still does not know if he will go to NY or not nor when prototype begins nor even what his job will be during grad hold. LOL.

Congratulations to all the new graduates of Nuclear Power Scholl class 1107 and their loved ones.

Congratulations all around! Heard the news around 6 too- passed!

Have a safe trip to SC- it's going to be so great!

It's official, "he passed"!  Looking forward to that Sailor hug Thursday night!  I asked my son about the class picture for both A school and Power School, and he said he has both.  But that the PS one was really blurry, and wasn't sure if he even wanted to frame it.

He will have leave the whole time (3/30-4/15) up to mustering for Prototype on the 16th.  And I get to spend half of it with him.  Lucky me!
