Wow that is great

so is that 15 "individual" boxes for 15 soldiers?  or are they bulk boxes?  That is awesome regardless.

If the additional 16 boxes are individual boxes for each soldier, I'd definately say YES for either group.  BUT YES if they are bulk too.  totally awesome.

Kat I'm confused on the 2 in one box I was sending a box (the large FPO box) for each person am I suppose to be sending 2 in 1.  A little confused

Tammy

yes, were were planning on sending one box per soldier.  Someone had mentioned that they had put enough items for two soldiers into one box, making it one box for two people. I believe that most of the individual boxes are for one soldier each though.

Ok, new to this but would like to participate. Could someone please explain the "box" concept to me? It looks as if you commit to sending a number of boxes - each box going to an individual service member - and you include a variety (or all?) of the things on the NEEDS/WANTS list. Is that right? Also, do we mail the boxes ourselves? Where do we get the addresses for shipping? One last question - what do you mean by "pillowcases"? Do you just send them a bunch of new pillowcases or a pillowcase stuffed with WANTS/NEEDS?

Sorry to be so dense here but I want to help and want to do it right :) Thanks, Ann-Marie

Ann-Marie, On the Molly's group page, did you read "New Moms Read First"? The boxes are the APO/FPO flat rate priority boxes that you can get for free at the post office or order them online at the PO website. We do things a little differently each month depending on the size of the group. This month is relatively small so we are trying to get a box for each soldier. The addresses are found in the "MAS We Ship Love" room. (I will go check and see if you are a member). There is a group of moms who sew pillowcases (We Stitch Love) and we send a pillowcase for each adoptee.

Anne-Marie, I don't see your name on the "MAS We Ship Love" list. So please request to join and I will approve you and then you will have access to the addresses. If you have more questions, please send me a message. Pat

ok, thanks Pat. That's what I mean by "dense" I've been spending tons of time looking at the groups I newly joined such as "bootcamp moms" since my son is at GL now. It's easy for me to miss these links! I'll go to the MAS thing now and thanks again! If I don't get my stuff together by next week, I'll take part in the May adoption thing for sure :)

Sent you a message on your page to find MAS We Ship Love. You aren't dense, it just takes a little while to figure out how to navigate everything. We all are glad to answer questions. Pat

Hi Pat: I finally found the WSL link and sent my request. Thanks for your patience. Looks like I will miss the April adoption but would like to participate in future events. Thanks again, A-M

I have another box with 8 goodie bags for the Marines.

they are 15 boxes one for each young man ---the 16 boxes I can find out for you but i think they may be bulk

OH and YIPEEEEE for me ---my son (new veteran) is heading to the airport tonight to pick up a Marine who just got back from A-stan 3 days ago :)    He was so cute he says "and Yes mom I will watch over him"   we had been talking about the fact he is just home and friends and drinking and he may need to vent a bit or well ---just watch over him.  He is also going to help him transition out of the military and get his benefits I heard he has only a few months left in his contract.  Tomorrow he is coming over here ---so I was going to see if he wanted to pack a box for his Marines also (will let you know ASAP )
