Postal employees do not need to see the contents unless they hear something ticking or a liquid swishing around :-)

No she is a sweetheart! I sent my EOD sailor some Redbull to the sandbox and told her that I did. I told her how I had vacuum sealed each can and repacked them into the box. She thinks what the Molly Moms do is awesome! I think she is just curious. She told me the next bunch of pillowcases I send, she would like to see them before I send them off. She is the lady who helped me ship all 271 last year to HSM77.

@Kat, Thank you for being a GREAT Mom of the Month! You rocked it, girl!!!!

Any idea how long it will take for our boxes to reach the adoptees?  For their sake I hope it doesn't take too long!

Hmmm, well, that is hard to say.  I know the Army group is in Afghanistan.  I've sent things there before that took only 10 days.  Hoping it will be that quick, but no guarantees.  For the Marine group, I do not know where they are.  they could be on a ship.  i'd say probably 10-14 days, if we are lucky.  I'll definately let you know when and if I get a message from either group saying they have started receiving our packages.

I agree with Pat, Kat that you ROCK!!! Good job mom of the month!

Thank you ladies. You are both very kind.  It was a true honor to be MOM in April and I look forward to being involved in many more of our adoptions.

Matt and I would like to give you a THUMBS UP for all of your hard work!

pretty clever!

Hi everyone.  Hope you are all doing well.

I wanted to share with you the email I just received from our contact from the Army unit in Afghanistan for our April adoption.  I have joy in my heart and a few teasr in my eyes right now.

Kathy, First wave of packages have arrived! The guys love it! It is like Christmas in the barracks right now. We also received the coffee maker. Say good bye to long, groggy shifts in the wee hours of the morning! lol Again, thank you so much for everything. We love everything you all do for us and will not forget your kind gestures. I will keep you posted as more packages arrive. The guys asked me to see if it is at all possible to get the email addresses of their supporter? I will compile a list of the names as they come in and send them your way if you do not mind. They all really want to show their appreciation and to say thank you personally.I hope this letter finds you doing well and in high spirits!                                                                                                                                    Zachary

P.S.- I got the package you sent for me. I was pretty much freaking out when I found the TWO bags of cashews! WOO! Every time I enjoy them over a nice cup of hot coffee I will think of you. Thank you for everything!

Zachary had said that he loves cashews, as does his Sargent, so I sent them 4 lbs of cashews.  If any of you who sent boxes would like to private message me your email address, I can forward them to Zachary so that he and the guys can contact you personally to say thank you for all of your kindness.

Thank you again for helping to make this April adoption such a great success.

As of yet, I have not heard anything from the Marine unit that we also adopted, but hopefully they are starting to receive our packages too.

FYI, for anyone who was wanting to know how long it takes for packages to get there, I mailed mine on Wed., April 25, so today is day 12 since I mailed them.

Oh Kat, Thanks for sharing!! That is exactly the kind of reaction that makes our day and a few little tears, too!!

We did it again all you WONDERFUL Molly Moms!!

Kat, That is so awesome!!! If I didn't say it already, thank you for the wonderful job that you did!
