May is here and it's time for our May adoption.

Our group this month is a Black sea Rotational Task Force.  They are a Special Purpose Marine Air Ground Task Force, and yes, you guessed it, they are deployed in or around the Black Sea!  They consist of 350 males and 5 females.

Our theme this month will be "baseball".  Let's see if we can send some love and a little piece of home to brighten their day and their spirits.  Be as creative as you like.  Maybe you can add an item with your favorite team's MLB logo on it. Some ideas might be a baseball hat, water bottle, baseball cards/gum packs, etc.

So, let's get motivated Moms, and hit this one outta the ballpark!!!

Needs:

*razors

*insoles for boots

Wants:

*snack foods(all types)

*DVDs

*books and magazines

*pretty much anything else!

*pillowcases are okay to send

We will concentrate on sending bulk boxes, instead of individuals.

Don't forget letters and cards.

We will ship on May 19-22.

All except for the one blemish right in the middle... pay rod or is that aroid??  Sorry out here in the west the stadiums all boo for him!!

hahaha...it's the same in the east!!!  No one likes A-Rod....but Derek Jeter, that's another story...a true class act!

Susan - I am an Enterprise mom as well!

I thought that a baseball "nightwatch" photo would be nice!  Hope I hit a "homerun" with the idea that I "stole" from another "team".

MJ - NICE!

Of course you did Laura!!  Enterprise moms rock!!

I will do a box.. This is my first box so I am going to have 100 questions.. Hope I don't drive everyone crazy...

That's wonderful! Don't be silly....and ask away!

Don't worry about that!!  You probably won't ask a question the rest of us have not!!

when we do bulk boxes, it's sometimes easier to just fill it with all of one item, for example, water bottle drink mixes, or candy bars, or anything like that.

O.K. had a ball shopping for the girls today with some money that a friend and her mom donated.

got shampoo, conditioner, body wash, nylon scrubbies, deodorant, good girl razors, shave cream, body lotion, mouth wash, hair bands, dental floss, toothpaste and brushes, two types of insoles (gel and regular), giant box of tampons, lip butter and  Blistex, gum, miscellaneous snacks, water bottle drink mixes.  What else would girls like?  Ideas welcome.

That's excellent....thanks so much for all those goodies.  They are certainly going to love it!

MJ:  I found the box on insoles.....they're the memory foam type.  Looks as if I had opened the case at some point, but there are 17 pair still there, so I will get them out to this group.  I picked them up months ago at a "Going out of Business": sale!!!

Julie, thank -you...I am so grateful...that makes the total approx. 67.  I'm planning on buying some more, but so glad you had that many to donate.
