For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security
Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.
DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.
DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

**UPDATE 4/26/2022** Effective with the May 6, 2022 PIR 4 guests will be allowed. Still must be fully vaccinated to attend.
**UPDATE as of 11/10/2022 PIR vaccination is no longer required.
**UPDATE 7/29/2021** You now must be fully vaccinated in order to attend PIR:
In light of observed changes and impact of the Coronavirus Delta Variant and out of an abundance of caution for our recruits, Sailors, staff, and guests, Recruit Training Command is restricting Pass-in-Review (recruit graduation) to ONLY fully immunized guests (14-days post final COVID vaccination dose).

Moving to IL in July
Hi everyone! :) My husband is in GL for "A" school. Im planning to move IL in July. We are looking into a apartment out in Schaumburg. Does anyone live in IL? or Schaumburg? How is it?

No major complaints but, if we'd had more time to decide and could do it over, we definitely would've moved off base, too. :)

Hey! I live in Waukegan, IL we also had the problem with huskies. We have one as well! We live at the reserve at eagle ridge. I have lived here for the past year and haven't had a single problem. I see that someone has mentioned to you that they have regretted moving here, they offer incentives along with their lease (free months rent..etc) If you sign the lease do not take any of the incentives unless you are sure you will be here for the entire lease. If you break the lease before the 6month/year is up it will not be covered in the military clause. (i spoke with navy legal about this as well, so it is confirmed) My husband is an ET and we moved in july and just recieved our orders. I am moving out in june and instead of breaking the lease and paying back the incentives i am just going to pay for the pro-rated month of july. I still recommed living here. Another place you could look at is the lakes at fountain square. They also accept huskies, it was another place that we considered living at. The only thing i didn't like about it was that they did not have washer and dryers in the house. If you need any help with any information around here let me know. Ill be here til june but i will try to be as much help as i can! If you decide to move to eagle ridge let me know so that you can put me down as a reference!
