Anyone have a daughter in this group?  I got my daughter's letter yesterday letting me know she is in this group.

Yes it finally came...I have never been so happy. She said it was very tough.  I almost wanted to cry, when she said her boots had rubbed all the skin off her heels and it hurt to walk. They had to send her to the doctor, she said it really helped. They did a little customizing to her boots.

I just wrote her again and told her to be strong. I know she can do this, it will get easier.

Thank you all for the support.

Poor girl....not fun to run or even walk when your feet hurt.  I thought they customize the shoes some, by having their feet analyzed on a machine before giving them the shoes.  My sons recruiter told him , if the shoes don't fit to ask for another pair, he said they will yell, but to do it anyway.

Wow...I'm glad the doctor helped. That would be tough!!

Let's hope we receive a new batch of letters and maybe even a call this week!

I'm keeping my fingers crossed. 39 more days!!

I hope everyone has a great weekl.

Did you all order ribbons and the t shirts from Possidan?

Shelbysmom,

Can you explain the ribbons and Tshirts? Have any of you received a phone call yet?  It just seems like such a long time that they have not called.

Yahoolady51

I don't know anything about the ribbons and t shirts either.     I'm hoping we'll get a call for Mother's Day!

yahoolady51 and teresa B's mom..no phone call here yet. How about you guys? I'm really hoping for a letter tomorrow. The last couple of days have been a little bit tough..I'm sure at this point we are all really missing them.

The ribbons are done by a gal named Lala. Her website is uniquememorymakers.com. You give her your childs name and division number and she makes a ribbon. I can't tell if people actually wear them or they are more of a novelty. They are really cute..I think they are $6.50 a piece.

The t-shirts are done by Poseidon and their website is usnavytees.com. You tell him what divsion your son/daughter is in and they make the shirts with the division flag on the back. I think the flag design is a pretty big secret until they unvail the design.

These are just things you CAN do..not required for anything.

Please post as soon as you get a letter or call.

I don't know about you guys but I get so excitged when we hear that calls or letters are happening..something to loojk forward to.

Also...Is anybody going to the Meet and Greet at Sarge's on Thursday June 14th?

just got a phone call, so good to hear his voice...  He sounds good, just wants boot camp to be over.   lol

You are all probably on the phone right now.

Just got my call too.  She sounded really good.  Cried a little because she misses us but she said she is doing fine.  Just waiting for it all to be done.  Said she passed her swim test and her first PFT and her first academic test. She said they won't get another call for another 3 weeks and they only had 27 minutes today for their call.

This is the best Mother's Day present I could have received!

jitterbug,

That sounded just like what my daughter said. She started to cry as soon as I said hello.  She also sounded very, very tired.  She too, passed all her tests. I told her to hang in there, soon, she will be half way done.

I have never been so happy to hear from someone in my life!

I got mine too!!  She sounded so tired. I told her hang in there  you are almost half way done.

Shelbysmom,

I would love to go to the meet and greet. What about you?  I saw the ribbons, and they are very nice. I am going to order some.  I will look at the t-shirts this weekend.

Ladies, I will be out of touch next Wed-Sun. My son graduates from Air Force basic so I am off to San Antonio.

Yahoolady51

I got the call this afternoon too. She sounded good but very homesick..then when I got home I  received 4 letters!!

It was so nice talking to her and her letters were awesome. She said the time is going by really fast.

WOW..I am still in schock that you have both kids gone..that's awesome that they are both doing so well. I think I'm going to order the ribbons and the t shirts as well.

I think we are going to try to make it to the Meet and Greet at Sarge's. Sounds like fun. :)

So glad we all got the calls today!!
