While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security
Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.
DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.
DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

**UPDATE 4/26/2022** Effective with the May 6, 2022 PIR 4 guests will be allowed. Still must be fully vaccinated to attend.
**UPDATE as of 11/10/2022 PIR vaccination is no longer required.

In light of observed changes and impact of the Coronavirus Delta Variant and out of an abundance of caution for our recruits, Sailors, staff, and guests, Recruit Training Command is restricting Pass-in-Review (recruit graduation) to ONLY fully immunized guests (14-days post final COVID vaccination dose).

HELP! Trying to visit my husband in Coronado this Summer!
I am hoping for some advice pertaining a trip to see my husband at the Naval Base in Coronado, California. He is currently in BUDs and our home is Maryland so I don't see any possibility of him coming home like he did while in Chicago for BUDs prep. We talked about it and think that we can use our summer vacation money to get myself and my 2 daughters (ages 5 and 6) out there for a few days to visit him.
Obviously the airfare is pricey enough for 3 people, it's going to cost about $1400. I am desperately trying to find a hotel that isn't insane which they all seem to be. There is a Navy Lodge on base and it is only $45 a night, but we just found out that children under 12 are not allowed. I don't have an option to see him alone since I have no sitter for any length of time and we were all looking forward to spending some family time together.
If anyone has any tips, links, experience, anything on visiting this area please let me know! Thanks!

Contact the MWR recreation office and see if they have deals on hotels with a military discount. San Diego is a tourist town, so there are always good places to stay.
No children under 12? That's odd, because Navy Lodge is where all the families stay when they PCS in and out. I'm quite surprised! Maybe because you aren't on orders? I don't doubt your word, it is just a completely new policy to me.

I sent you a friend request my bf is also in BUD/S right now. I plan on going to visit him but not till after hell week. Do you know when you will be going? Lots of my friends have been going out and barely getting to see them since they are so busy on the weekends with cleaning and inspections and such.

Navy Ballerina- I was trying to get out there July 11th-16th but EVERYTHING is booked up :-( So now I am trying for August 8th-13th, this is the only other time I think I can go out because school starts at the end of the month and I work every other weekend. I'm trying not to get frustrated but it sucks not knowing when I am going to see my husband again. I'm sure you know their time is super limited, and with a 3 hour time difference and me working overnights it's tricky finding time to keep our marriage strong :-(

I hope you can make it out there!! Time difference is hard this is the first time my bf has been in the same time zone with me while hes away. I know how i you feel. They are so busy right now i rarely get to talk to my bf. Im sure you guys will make it and keep your marriage going great. I have been wanting to get out there sometime in July but i dont know how i will do that.

Navy Lodge on Coronado allows kids and its brand new, right on the beach, has a swimming pool and a play ground. They just built it when I was there last is looked very nice, and its kinda on the back side so its like your not really staying on base.
