SOOOOOO HAPPY GOT A PHONE CALL FROM MY SON TODAY......
Got a phone call today from my son around 3:30pm! I had tears of joy. He sounds like he is doing very well. So happy to hear his cheerful voice.
Hey mom's. How is everyone doing? Has anyone heard from their SR lately ?
I hope to get more letters tomorrow!! Mine seem to come on Thursdays. I can't wait!!!!
I just found out my son is very very sick and has been on bedrest for a few days, I hope this will not hold him back from graduating on June 22nd. He will be so upset if he is held back and we already purchased our tickets and requested the time off work. I hope he is doing better. i wish I could talk to him to see how he is....:-(
I hope he is doing better soon. I know it is so hard not being able to talk to them. Prayers he recovers quickly and is able to graduate with his division on June 22nd
Thank You Jackie, I am assuming if he was really really bad they would let him call home, I would hope so.
Hi Rosie, My name is Barb and my son Jimmy is in ship 7/div 193. So nice to meet you and we are looking forward to 6-22! We live in Lake Mary, FL but are originally from Trenton, NJ. Glad you are feeling better, it does get easier once you know they are ok. I cant wait to talk to him again, we only had 1 phone call so far. Looking forward to meeting you at PIR! Keep in touch :)
We received a letter this week from my son and he said they are going to be able to call sometime after Battle Stations, which I am guessing is Friday. Keep you phone ringers on. So excited to see my son on 6-22-12. Its going to be an emotional and proud day.
Hi Ryansmom!
I got a call from my husband last night, and he told me that someone in his division came up to him and asked if he was married to a Rosie because his mom told him about this forum, was it your son? What a fun coincidence!
haha. If not, it was someone else on here, but it was really cute.
Hope everyone is excited for PIR!
Rosie
Hi Rosie,
Yes, it was me. My son was telling me about things regarding his days at boot camp and mentioned something about the Yeoman, which you said your husband is. So I said wonder if his wife's name is Rosie, due to I had just read your message about your husband being Yeoman. Guess your husband was standing close by, and my son asked him, we both laughed. Was really cute.
I am all packed and ready to leave tomorrow morning. My husband and I, daughter, and Ryan's grandparents will all be flying out to see him. My son will be going to Sub training. We are all so proud of his decision to join the Navy.
Looking forward to Friday! Im bringing lots of tissues.
Denise
