May is here and it's time for our May adoption.

Our group this month is a Black sea Rotational Task Force.  They are a Special Purpose Marine Air Ground Task Force, and yes, you guessed it, they are deployed in or around the Black Sea!  They consist of 350 males and 5 females.

Our theme this month will be "baseball".  Let's see if we can send some love and a little piece of home to brighten their day and their spirits.  Be as creative as you like.  Maybe you can add an item with your favorite team's MLB logo on it. Some ideas might be a baseball hat, water bottle, baseball cards/gum packs, etc.

So, let's get motivated Moms, and hit this one outta the ballpark!!!

Needs:

*razors

*insoles for boots

Wants:

*snack foods(all types)

*DVDs

*books and magazines

*pretty much anything else!

*pillowcases are okay to send

We will concentrate on sending bulk boxes, instead of individuals.

Don't forget letters and cards.

We will ship on May 19-22.

Got my box packed and ready to mail tomorrow.. I have 4 boot insoles, around 100 razors, beef jerk, sunflower seeds, double bubble gumballs, cracker jacks, slim jims, gold fish and cheese crackers.. Now for the first question. Where do I get the mailing address?

Go to "MAS We Ship Love" and request to join and I will approve you as soon as I see it.(Go to Molly's Adopt A Sailor group page and at the top, click on "Get address here) Then you have access to the addresses. By doing it this way, provides a little security for our contact instead of having addresses where anyone can see.

Actually where you click is "Click here for adoptees address". OOPS!

@Pentwater, You are approved! Easy-peasy!!!!

Since they are Marines we use the Marine shipping label am I correct

Yes ma'am, The May adoption address. Hey, how are you doing with the customs form? Need help?

I got one from my local PO and they said they would help me with it when I come in to ship my box out..

You don't have to list each individual item or you will run out of room. Combine similar items like hard candy, dry drink mix, stick deodorant, nuts. For instance you might have pistacchios, almonds, pecans, peanuts, but just list as nuts and how many bags and the total value. Hope this helps. Press hard to make the 6 copies. I do mine online at usps.com so if you try that, have the form from the post office in front of you to help you understand the sections. Also, be sure to sign the form or each of the internet generated copies.

I use to work for the Post Office so I know about their copies...They had six copies for everything..

Me, too, Pentwater. I retired in January.

Thanks so much, and I see Pat already took care of you with the address....thanks Pat!

My box of 20 pillowcases is heading to the PO tomorrow!  I threw in a few magazines, some toothpaste and brushes and floss.  My box is FULL!
