May is here and it's time for our May adoption.
Our group this month is a Black sea Rotational Task Force. They are a Special Purpose Marine Air Ground Task Force, and yes, you guessed it, they are deployed in or around the Black Sea! They consist of 350 males and 5 females.
Our theme this month will be "baseball". Let's see if we can send some love and a little piece of home to brighten their day and their spirits. Be as creative as you like. Maybe you can add an item with your favorite team's MLB logo on it. Some ideas might be a baseball hat, water bottle, baseball cards/gum packs, etc.
So, let's get motivated Moms, and hit this one outta the ballpark!!!
Needs:
*razors
*insoles for boots
Wants:

*pretty much anything else!
*pillowcases are okay to send
We will concentrate on sending bulk boxes, instead of individuals.

Thank you Dee, it is so appreciated!
Me too! Thanks!
My box was sent out today.. What a wonderful feeling. A man that I don't even know gave me ten dollars to help with postage... He thanked me for helping out our troops.. I still have a smile on my face..
OMG...that's so sweet. Thanks for sharing it, and for your kind donation. :-)
Isn't it amazing what people will do?? Now I have a smile. Thanks!!
Me too :)
Sent out my 5 girl boxes today. So happy they are on their way. the people at the post office know me now. The lady who helped me said "is this all?" She just saw my 15 boxes be shipped for last months adoption so thought the 5 boxes was a bit skimpy I guess, ha.
Thank you for taking care of the girls!!!
So how many of you also kiss your boxes before they are shipped out? Is it weird for me to do so? Just feel like it sends more love.
Carol, Not weird, just sweet! For a long time, after I took boxes to the post office, would go sit in my car and cry for a few minutes. Now I have the post office pick up boxes at my house so I can now cry in the privacy of my own home! See I'm weird, too!!! LOL!!!!
ha ha ha Oh Heavens ----I kiss the boxes too, before the post master picks them up to go into the bin I kiss my hand and pat the kiss on the box ---and slowly rub the box. I thought I was the only weirdo :) ha ha
