While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security
Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.
DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.
DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

**UPDATE 4/26/2022** Effective with the May 6, 2022 PIR 4 guests will be allowed. Still must be fully vaccinated to attend.
**UPDATE as of 11/10/2022 PIR vaccination is no longer required.
**UPDATE 7/29/2021** You now must be fully vaccinated in order to attend PIR:
In light of observed changes and impact of the Coronavirus Delta Variant and out of an abundance of caution for our recruits, Sailors, staff, and guests, Recruit Training Command is restricting Pass-in-Review (recruit graduation) to ONLY fully immunized guests (14-days post final COVID vaccination dose).

last Power School class of 2011.... Class starts 12/8/11 and Graduation is
5/25/12.

Hello, dear Friends. Just wanted any of you know who may not be aware that our family's journey to "Nukedom" ended Friday after Thursday In-Rate final. My dear Sailor had to go all the way to the bitter end (except for Comp) as he had passed all 3 courses in 1st half of PS. He had to get to the point that it was mathematically impossible to pass 1 of the 3 courses in the 2nd half - which was all the way through the final. He's at peace about his future in the Navy and looking forward to what his possibilities for re-rate may be. I wish you all a WONDERFUL graduation weekend - for those who are getting to go. I know it will be an extraordinary time - so much to celebrate! What accomplishments for each of them! We are keeping the reservation we made and going to support our dear Sailor and spend some time with him. We are very proud of him for all he has accomplished in the 13 months since he left home and are especially proud of the way he handled the expectations placed on him in terms of extra study hours and the frustration of defeat. Has told us much about his character that we hoped was true. God bless you , dear friends. Enjoy every minute of the graduation!!!! So happy for you all! And Sherry- I think it's SO COOL that Corey's PS Grad is so close to anniv of PIR! Fun!

Sorry I missed seeing you last weekend. Seems like no matter how I plan I end up changing them for Corey & his friends. Well, that's ok since he was the reason I was there! Hope you had a great visit!

Hi Everyone, I saw my husband's video of the graduation and it looked wonderful. Now what? My son said it will take 2 months before he knows where he is going. He really wants to go to New York. Too bad they don't have a choice.

They actually do get to choose where they are willing to go for Prototype, but only if there are still openings for their jobs. Most EMs and ETs have Grad Hold of 2 months. A very small number of EMs got pushed into the next PT class because of necessity (they were short on numbers). It could have held up many others if these 6 young men had not accepted the short Grad Hold. Most that go to NY are single. Do you know that we have a Nuke Moms Facebook group Joann?

Hi ladies! Wanted you to know my son has gotten his assignment as Sub mechanic: Weapons Division. I certainly don't know what that means yet, but he is content. As he graduated A School as an MM, they can assign him to a conventional MM job. I'm assuming since he was sub-vol, that is the reason for the assignment. ? Don't know where he'll be going yet or when, but I'll try to let you know when I find out so we can complete this journey together. Looking forward to hearing when your Sailors begin Prototype and where they wind up. My best to all of you in their next steps!

Wow Lee Ann, he's there already and now has begun Prototype. That's awesome. Hope he had a good break, though it was short.
I have found out that his next stop will be Groton for 2 sep. 4 week sets of training. Still don't know timing.

My son said he is on the preliminary list for New York for prototype. He will let us know when it is set in stone.
