My daughter left for bootcamp yesterday.  The long wait at the airport was so stressful, all other branches left within 2 hours, we had a 6 hour wait.  We received her call in the middle of the night, and now wait until we hear something next.

I sent another email asking.  Fingers crossed!  I just want him to know that I miss him and I AM writing him.  Do you know if they will let him keep the letters?

My huband shipped out on 5/22 as well.  I got the "I'm here" call, but no box or form letter just yet.  I've been writing him literally every single day.  I have 2 kids under 2, and they keep asking for their daddy. :-(  Is there anyone else who hasn't gotten their box or letter yet?  The recruiter won't give me his address, and jus ttold me I had to wait to my hubby to write.

My daughter's recruiter provided her address to us the next day.  She has 2 younger brothers that are school aged, so they are writing notes for her.  I just received my box today, so hopefully you will get yours soon, it came FedEx and not regular mail.  Others have posted that the recruiter can look up his address using his SSN.

Maybe I'll ask (or possibly beg) for him to try to get it for me.  I have a stack of letters because I've been writing him literally every day.  I have the kids draw him some scribbles, and i'll write a little letter from them to him. I hope it makes him smile.  Do you know anything about what size photos he can get?  I wanted to send him a card for fathers day as well.

I am not sure of photos yet, I am waiting for the form letter.  If I hear anything I will pass it on.

I finally got his box yesterday.  Still not letter yet though.  Praying for it today. The recruiter said that he won't look it up, because it's not always the most accurate address and the letters will likely get returned anyway.

I have been told to not contact the recruiters, that I should iust wait until I receive her form letter with the address so I am trying hard to do what I was told but I so badly want to contact the recruiter to get it from him. Someone had posted on her somewhere a time line of when things happened and he didn't get his letter for 3 weeks. So hard to know I may have to wait that long.

Hopefully it doesn't take that long.  My husbands recruiter wasn't able to get any good info for me.  I don't think it would be worth it just incase the address ends up being wrong.  Then the recruit wouldn't get the letters at all.  I'm sure they all know we're here missing them like crazy!  Keep me posted.

I am totally blown away that the recruiters can look it up via SSN. I have to get word via my god-daughter' mama (aka BFF). I am also former Navy and you can read about what happened when my mom called my recruiter in another area...Let's just say it wasn't pretty for me at bootcamp. I am looking forward to getting her address and sending her letter's that are okay...g-d forbid they read it or have her read it in front of the whole company. ack!

My fiance also left on the 22nd. We got his box yesterday, Tuesday the 29th. Anyone else have someone in Ship 07. Div 222? Do ya'll know if the holiday will affect their graduation date? I wasnt sure since it was Memorial day. http://www.navydep.com/forums/showthread.php?t=433

I found this link it kinda outlines what they do in bootcamp, but it only outlines a 6 week bootcamp. I found it interesting that some of yall might too.

I read that blog every day to try to get an idea of what my hubby is doing every day.  I have no idea about the graduation date or even his ship or division.  I'll have to wait for the form letter to get any information.

My daughter left on 5/22 and I received her box yesterday but no form letter.
