May is here and it's time for our May adoption.
Our group this month is a Black sea Rotational Task Force. They are a Special Purpose Marine Air Ground Task Force, and yes, you guessed it, they are deployed in or around the Black Sea! They consist of 350 males and 5 females.
Our theme this month will be "baseball". Let's see if we can send some love and a little piece of home to brighten their day and their spirits. Be as creative as you like. Maybe you can add an item with your favorite team's MLB logo on it. Some ideas might be a baseball hat, water bottle, baseball cards/gum packs, etc.
So, let's get motivated Moms, and hit this one outta the ballpark!!!
Needs:
*razors
*insoles for boots
Wants:
*snack foods(all types)
*DVDs
*books and magazines
*pretty much anything else!
*pillowcases are okay to send
We will concentrate on sending bulk boxes, instead of individuals.
Don't forget letters and cards.
We will ship on May 19-22.

I received the following email this morning from one of the girls that I sent the boxes to:
Good Morning for you, EVENING for me!!
Just wanted to drop a line and
express my gratitude for the packages you sent!! I walked to my barracks room
today to find a box of goodies waiting for me!! I couldnt help but smile and
feel so greatful that Americans like you still appreciate us today! I brought
the box into work and everyone has enjoyed what you so nicely packaged for us!
Once again ma'am, thank you so much for taking the time and thinking of us. We
are in high spirits and making the best out of our experience here in Romania!
Have a blessed day and once again THANK YOU!!
Another precious note...thanks for sharing it!
God Bless them ---how sweet are they
Received an email this morning:
Lorraine,
I wanted to personally thank you for all of the packages our unit received today. The work put into preparing these packages didn't go unnoticed, as the Marines were all smiles sifting through the goods. Some needed shaving cream, some needed pillow cases (I took one for myself). The young guys took gum and food, the old guys appreciated the BioFreeze.
Your continued support of my brothers and sisters in the Marines brings a smile to my face, it's important for them to know their country and patriots like yourself are behind them.
Very respectfully,
SSgt xxxxxxxxxxxx, USMC
S-3 Training Chief
Lorraine, thanks for sharing...love it!
