While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security
Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.
DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.
DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

**UPDATE 4/26/2022** Effective with the May 6, 2022 PIR 4 guests will be allowed. Still must be fully vaccinated to attend.
**UPDATE as of 11/10/2022 PIR vaccination is no longer required.
**UPDATE 7/29/2021** You now must be fully vaccinated in order to attend PIR:
In light of observed changes and impact of the Coronavirus Delta Variant and out of an abundance of caution for our recruits, Sailors, staff, and guests, Recruit Training Command is restricting Pass-in-Review (recruit graduation) to ONLY fully immunized guests (14-days post final COVID vaccination dose).

Class 1202 (Graduation date- July 20th)
Our sailors will moving on to the 2nd phase of "Nuke" School. Indoc starts on Feb.9th and classes on the 13th. Since we will all be in the "same boat" together, I thought it will be nice to share our experiences. Lets continue to support our sailors and each other!

Actually Tina, we will be seeing him the end of June, as he signs for his apartment the 28th. Have to transport his stuff and furnishings down to him! He can hardly wait to get out of the barracks!

Ok busy week coming up for our sailors......2 tests....to include the Widow Maker on Tuesday.....to say Im not anxious would be a lie!

thanks for the info amanda about the tests. i have heard the widow maker is a hard test. i will certainly be praying for our sailors!!!!! good luck to all of them. i too will be worrying!!

I'm still here not much going on. My son has continued to well on his tests. He din't even mention that the "widow maker" was coming up. I have been busy working full time and taking care of some elderly friends of the family on my days off. Not much spare time. What spare time I do have, I am hoping to do some swimming in our new pool. We sold our boat last fall in hopes of getting a larger one in a year or 2. In the meantime, we got the pool and our source of water fun. I have also been trying to get the flower beds done. Busy, busy, busy!

Husband spoke with son. Said the widowmaker was a very hard test and most thought so . He hopes they give a lot of partial credit as he didn't have time to finish. Marks come out this afternoon. I don't really know what this test tests. Is it the widowmaker becasue it counts for a lot of points?

My sailor is an EM and he said his test was on Reactor Principles but what was so scary is that it was worth 400-450 points and they have never had a test with that many points before. I guess all of the last 5-6 tests are worth that much. Don't know if it is the same for MMs and ETs.

Seem to recall our sailor saying the same thing about 500-point tests for the remainder of the classes as well.
