Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

In light of observed changes and impact of the Coronavirus Delta Variant and out of an abundance of caution for our recruits, Sailors, staff, and guests, Recruit Training Command is restricting Pass-in-Review (recruit graduation) to ONLY fully immunized guests (14-days post final COVID vaccination dose).

Hi all...any others out there in the same 'Boat'? :) We received our Form Letter yesterday. He managed to scribble a few lines on the back:
."It's only been 3 days but it feels like weeks. Didn't sleep for 40 hours from when I woke up Tuesday! Yeah, this is pretty crazy here but as long as you don't look the Chief in the eyes you won't get yelled at. Gotta go. Love you!! :)"
I was so relieved! Especially that he included the 'smiley face'. First letter from home is already in the mailbox ready to go this morning! I feel so much better about things today!

o got it before I typed again. Thank you. My son left June 7th.Was supposed toleave on the 5th.This is my second rodeo With bootcamp so Im assuming Aug 3rd for PIR.Is this your first child in bootcamp? It is such a wonderful time in our lives. My son said"Mom if Im a grab and go don't worry about coming to graduation" I smiled and said if I only get a to see you graduate I will spend a million dollars to see it> Of course he smiled!And I really meant it. Graduation is a Must!!!! Congratulations to all the families for a wonderful success story!
Hang in there my son is in his fourth week I got my first phone call Tuesday I was in heaven he sounds good we talked for half hour I still cant believe it. Wednesday I received a letter from him and it was all good he is concerned about hell week I don't know much about that. and today I get one more call to send him his sc card loved it still on cloud nine our time is going better than I expected it would go I write him all the time it helps them and it will help you as well. my sr graduation is july13th I cant wait. IT really does get better! Good Luck
