Hey, my husband and I are moving to Oak Harbor in three weeks. We won't have a car when we get to WA because as you guys know the Navy doesn't move vehicles overland, and the drive from TN to WA was too much for our little car. Does anyone know a place to get a reliable used cars in this area?

We are a little stressed about getting a car fast once we get there because my husband doesn't know how far the hospital he will be working at is from where we will be living.

Would it be worth spending $1000 to transport your car instead of buying another one? I looked into that for my son. Oregon to south Carolina was about $1100

You could try renting a car for a couple days just so you can get around and find out how far away you'll be and what kind of car will work for you.  In the mean time, I can ask my daughter where she just purchased her car from recently.

I know of a great car dealership but it's south of Seattle. Let me know if your interested in my help with this issue. Moving to a new state is hard enough.  I don't want to see you end up at a crappy dealership to boot.

I am definitely interested. We are hoping we don't end up at a crappy dealership too.

My daughter recommended West Hills Honda in Bremerton.  She got a great deal there!!

Thank you. I will have to write that down, and we can check there first. Was the car she got a good car?

Yes, she got a 2011 VW Jetta sportswagon and loves it!!!

My son is selling a car for a friend that just got transfered. you can call him at 901-830-7012. My son is from Memphis, and the other sailor is from Chattanooga TN.  What part of TN are you from?

Tricities area. I am looking to buy a car in WA though. Sorry.

Hey! Oak Harbor really isn't a great place to get a car, but in Sedro Woolley, which is 45 minutes away, there is a place called Mike n Sons. Its a great place to get a vehicle for an affordable price. Here is the link and address: www.mikeandson.com/ address: 203 Ball Street  Sedro-Woolley, WA 98284

I have lived in Washington my whole life so if you need any help with anything else, just let me know :)
