ok, so my son left only last Wednesday and it has been hard! I got the 20 second "I'm here" phone call that night around 9:30. I didn't have time to say anything to him except ok and I love you. This 9 weeks is going to be hard! How long before we get information from him so I can start writing to him? I miss seeing him everyday! Out of habit I keep checking my cellphone because he would always text me throughout the day and now....nothing! I hope he is doing okay there. I miss him!

I got my letter today! Ship 02, Div 938. PIR 8/3
hi my son left for BC 06/14 and I received the BOX today, I didin't see any information, only his boarding pass and other papers he was holding when he left at the airport ( we went w/ him until he's at the TSA gate (crushed my heart...) the box has a return address, can I mail my letter to that address or wait for the info that the navy will send, thank you if anyone can reply
Wait. The letter comes a few days later. That will have the Ship, the Unit and the address. You need all that to mail anything. The return address on "the box" was not correct for the actual SR.
I got my letter today! Ship 13 Div 235. PIR 8/3!
Can I find out any Info If I have my sons Ship number and Div number thanks so much?
My daughter left June 6th also. I thought I was going to be a wreck but I think I was more of a wreck in the weeks leading up to her leaving. She is a trooper though and let me hug her a thousand times and cry. I made myself not cry when we drove to Butte, MT to see her off. Did not want her to be worrying about her Mom. She is in Ship 12 Div 238.
Got to talk to her today when she called for some info. So wonderful to hear her voice!!
I miss my girl too!
My daughter left on June 6 and I didn't even get a phone call. I do have her address and that was one of the 1st questions I asked her, was what happened to her calling to let me know that you arrived safely. I had to end up calling the RTC and they verified that she was there but nothing else. Like you, I was so used to talking and getting texts from her everyday and I am still going through withdrawals not being able to do any. Counting down the weeks to graduation.
My son left the 19th and I got the all about 10 that night. I miss him so much its crazy. I check my phone all the time justt out of habit. When he called he sounded nervous and tired. I know hes fine but this not knowing is killing me. I just want to tell him I love him and ask how his day is. This is so rediculously hard. Im hoping days get easier but I just feel like part of me I left at that airport... Now awaiting the box..
