Hi Mona, How did you find out his ship and div # already? and what is an addy?

I had been instructed to contact his recruiter for an address (addy).  This might be a bit different once the form letter arrives.  He used that cell phone up until he boarded the bus from the Chicago airport....so we got to talk quite a bit.  He knew there was no need to use his one phone call on me once he got to the base since we had talked so much throughout the day.

My son might be a bit older than some of your children that left.  He is 25.5 years old....we had been working on this navy "thing" for over 3 years.  We found that some recruiters were not as good as others, hence the delay. I haven't seen him since last October.  This was the first Christmas (2011) without him....I guess it was good practice for the Navy.

My son arrived in Great Lakes on June 14th, I am hoping we make it in the August 10th PIR.   He is going to VA for A school, but my hubby and i were Navy too and we did our A and C school at Corry Station in Pensacola (CTM's)    My son at boot camp is our oldest of the 6 kids.   My younger ones have already taken over his room! :)   Maybe we will all be in the same group......

My son is doing IS (Intelligence Specialist) at Dam Neck, VA (right next to Norfolk). I would assume air traffic controller will probably go out to the fleet, there is a lot of them on ships (Carriers)

I received Spencer's box today.  No form letter yet.  Had his clothes he was wearing that day and his cell phone.  Tomorrow marks 7 days of basic for him.  Miss him terribly and wish I could just hear his voice and know he's ok.

i received "the box" today.  Very surreal.  No money was left in the pockets! LOL!!  There was a quick note to me asking if I would mail the enclosed sealed, stamped letter to his girlfriend.  Now I see where I rate!  Ha!  He left June 12 and his recruiter emailed me that he is Ship 7, Div 243.

Anyone else out there with these numbers?

Mona 13, KY
