Good morning DMHmom. My son also ships 6/21. He leaves for MEPS on 6/20. I have accepted your friend request and I will message you.
So I'm just getting home from seeing my son off to BC There were quite a few recruits leaving also today. My son was so excited to go and everyone keeps telling me it's gonna be ok and I know it will. These next 8 weeks are gonna be the hardest for sure!!!!!
My Son just called after arriving at Boot Camp. He left today from MEPS in Cleveland. There were 2 others that left with him. It is going to be so weird not being able to text him or talk to him. Stay Strong!!
Hi,
My son left for GL on 6/21 from New Jersey. Got the phone call Thursday that he arrived. Was surprised to get a call on Saturday to just let me know all was well and he'll be calling in again in a few weeks. It's strange not having him here but its not as hard as I thought it would be. Reading all the comments on this site has prepared me on what to expect. Am looking forward to PIR and seeing him.
Hi all, we got "the Box" today. Hope you all have as well. I have read today where some whose kids shipped on the 19th have already received their letter with PIR date and recruits address. Hopefully we will all have ours by the end of the week.
