Choose your Username. For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security
Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.
DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.
DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

**UPDATE 4/26/2022** Effective with the May 6, 2022 PIR 4 guests will be allowed. Still must be fully vaccinated to attend.
**UPDATE as of 11/10/2022 PIR vaccination is no longer required.
**UPDATE 7/29/2021** You now must be fully vaccinated in order to attend PIR:
In light of observed changes and impact of the Coronavirus Delta Variant and out of an abundance of caution for our recruits, Sailors, staff, and guests, Recruit Training Command is restricting Pass-in-Review (recruit graduation) to ONLY fully immunized guests (14-days post final COVID vaccination dose).

Ship 07, Div 259
My son left 6\20 and I called his recruiter and got this address for him. I haven't received anything from my son, but have read on the site that this might be incorrect from the recruiter? I want to send the letters that I've written so he'll be able to get them as soon as possible. Can anyone tell me if this really does change or should I go ahead and send the letters? Anyone else have a son on the same ship? Worst 5 days of my life. Glad this site is here!

My son left 6/19. I have not heard a peep. Not kid in a box, not a form letter, nothing... also the hardest days of my life! The recruiter we have cannot give any information as he is not the original recruiter. My son was switched about 4 months ago, as the recruiting office in the town we live in was closed ..... went from 5 miles down the road to 215 miles away. He said I have to wait for the letter. I have seen others on the site that have already received their kid in a box from same ship date my son has. I don't know where thes others lives but I am in oregon.... crossing my fingers I hear something today.

Good luck to you. Maybe on the same ship? Nothing could have prepared me for this. I'm in Florida. I'm sorry you have had such problems. I will pray that you hear or receive something soon. thanks for replying. Glad we are not alone! I wish I knew if I should send this. I think it's solid, but I want to be sure. take care

My daughter left at the same time as your son, and I haven't heard anything either. I'm hoping for at least the box today. I just keep telling myself, no news is good news.

Hi Leaanne, My son is on the same ship but he left on June 11th and was at Great Lakes on June 12th. I am assuming they are still adding to the ship or something. Im still finding out new things on here all the time. Did your son call you?

There are many divisions on the same ship and they could be in 2 or more different TG's (Training Groups), meaning that they will have PIR on different days.

yes - the 5 second call. he sounded like a robot. it was so weird. I hope that's the case that they keep adding to the ship because I went ahead and sent letters to Brandon according to the info that the recruiter gave me. Glad I'm finding more mom's. Tough days.

Yes yes, tough days....still. I don't work anymore and I have been addicted to navy4moms and then one page/group leads to another and has been very helpful. I was used to my son being home every day for 2 months straight because he quit his job before leaving for the Navy and he is a homebody. I'm not complaining and we became much closer. He did hang with friends but stayed at home for the most part before leaving. So I am finding it's so nice to lean on each other because even the "veteran" Navy 4 moms are angels for us newbies. hang in there {hugs}

Thanks - Brandon was not a homebody, but the constant daily contact and his voice were something I definitely took for granted. I found an old voicemail he left. I think I'll keep it for a LONG time! thanks for the encouragement! :-)
