Anyone else have a SR in Ship 07, Div 260? just curious when they actually got started. The recruiter said it could be 6/25 or 7/2.  We received his box yesterday but no form letter yet.

Thanks, Jill

I still do not know..... received box on monday in oregon but no letter, no call waiting patiently for both.... Dawn

Did you get your "I'm here..." call?

Yes ...... Sorry about that, yes. I did get that 15 second I'm here I'm safe I love you call. :)

I don't expect another call for awhile. Don't want to get my hopes up! :)

Craignjill  when did your recruit ship?  We dont' know ship and div yet.  We got box today but no letter and I haven't called recruiter because so many on here say it might not be accurate.  I would like to get an idea of what divisions others are getting into who shipped 6/21. Thanks

he arrived in GL on 6/21. I got this info from the recruiter today. hope it is accurate. I have a letter ready to mail!

Yeah, i have a stack.  I've written one everyday.  Probably helps me more than it will him. Can't wait to hear from him but to tell you the truth, I dont' want to hear anything too soon.  Going with that no news is good news idea.

If that division is included in 8/17 PIR that will be a huge graduating class... over 12 divisions.  Less room for extras at PIR, so make sure your sailors have the names for graduation correct.  :-)

I know, little disappointed.  I bet my son will be in a div close to craignjills.  I'm thinking that looks a little more light a 8/24 grad date.  hate that for my son, probably will be in processing extra days waiting for training.  I was hoping he would be able to get started with training tomorrow.  Oh well, just over thinking the process, AGAIN.  I just need to relax.

Jill V - is there a way to tell if that division is scheduled for PIR on 8/17 before we get the letter?

ibhmom - I overthink and over plan too. I ask my son questions and he says, "its fine", all the time!  drives me crazy.  I probably need to relax too.

Nope, there is no way to tell until you get the letter.  Unless RTC posts the divisions that will be graduating on their website before you get the letter.  It's a strange way they cut it off... recruits that arrive one day will fill divisions and graduate the earlier week, then recruits that arrive the next day will start new divisions and have to wait to graduate the next week.  It just depends on how many divisions they can fill and will be able to get the training done before PIR.  I have seen PIR's with 12 divisions, but I don't believe many more than that.   When my son in law graduated I went to his PIR with my daughter and he only had 8 divisions.  There was plenty of room in the hall for any one who wanted to be there that day :-)

ok. so the form letter we are supposed to receive in a week or so but the actual packet of info with parking info, etc will come around week 5, is that correct?
