My son leaves June 26 also..I started a thread in June DEP group about it

My son left June 26th as well for GL.  I am so emotional, overwhelmed with all there is to read- that I don't even know where to turn ugh!

Mom of 5,
Hang in there, we have all been pretty emotional these last few days. You are not alone. Just take what information you can as you go. There is sooo much I find I am reading somethings over two times. This has been a great sight for information and support. I got on the live chat and that was nice to talk to other Moms who sons had just left too. Did you get your "Kid in Box" today? Mine arrived and it was pretty sad. It will get easier!!

Thanks Spudsmom- I did get my box- I was ok.  I am learning.  I appreciate the support from everyone.

Hello!! My son left June 26 also...  great lakes.  is there a easy way for chatting and keeping in touch with our division 941 moms?  I also got my sad kid in a box and it was rough seeing the belongings off his back the day he left.  But I'm doing better, I am torn but supper excited for him. would love to be able to keep in touch with the moms I am going to be seeing in august.  did anyone start a fb page for our division, i find it simpler then this site.

My son left on June 26 also, but as of today, Monday, no kid in a box yet. Was there the packet of graduation info with the box? I'm starting to wonder if maybe he donated his belongings?

My boyfriend left on June 26 also. His bootcamp is in the Great Lakes, IL. I got his box about five days ago. How do you guys know what division they are in already?

Hello!! My son's recruiter gave me his address with all his information.  Contact them. if not you will be receiving a letter with all the information in it.  I haven't got my letter yet but the others are telling me it comes shortly after receiving his box.  I got my box last Thurs so my letter should be here any day.  I wish you well!!

Oh okay! Thank you! You must tell me when you get your letter because then mine will be soon or the same day! I heard that they are only allowed to write on Sundays so if thats true we might get ours in a couple days.

I got my letter today!!!  So thankful it arrived, we are headed up the mountain camping for a few days.  We got delayed for a couple days so I guess this is why. Glad I won't be up there for several more days wondering if it wa in the mail.  Tommie is Ship 11 Div 264 anyone else have a son or daughter there also?

As of yet I sill have not received the form letter. The box came pretty fast, go it on Friday last week. So far am doing well, keeping busy helps. headed up on the mountain for several days of camping. That was always his favorite thing to do in the summer but ya can't stop doing things they liked to or you'll be a veggie at home :) I hope everyone has a great 4th of July. We have such bad fires all around us that they ave cancelled all fireworks, even the big displays are off.

Be safe in your travels this week.

Hello,

I sent you a friend request- my son is in the same ship 11 and Div 264!!!!!  Happy to meet a fellow Mm in the same group.
