Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security
Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.
DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.
DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

**UPDATE 4/26/2022** Effective with the May 6, 2022 PIR 4 guests will be allowed. Still must be fully vaccinated to attend.
**UPDATE as of 11/10/2022 PIR vaccination is no longer required.

In light of observed changes and impact of the Coronavirus Delta Variant and out of an abundance of caution for our recruits, Sailors, staff, and guests, Recruit Training Command is restricting Pass-in-Review (recruit graduation) to ONLY fully immunized guests (14-days post final COVID vaccination dose).

Hi just found this group. My son is also in 1204, section 11. We visited him this weekend. Was doing well considering all the study time he has put in. Saying goodbye is always hard.

Hismom - our boys are in the same section. My sailor is the one who did the COD3 rap at the cook out a couple of weeks ago. My son, unfortunately, is really bad with names… But he's working on it :)
Reactorteach - grad is indeed 11/9. My son has told me there will be no leave granted right after graduation because it is, in fact, so close to the standdown. That totally bums me out because now here we have to wait another six weeks till we get them home!! -

My son is 1204-8. He seems to be doing well but very concerned about the sailor in their class that is critical after a motorcycle accident last week. Prayers for all the sailors!
He did say that he would probably be home for Christmas.

Loving all the info. Just a few texts from my sailor. Said he is spending LOTS of time in the school house but, really, that is no surprise. Hope he does get Christmas at home. Happy, safe 4th to all of you!

It's been quiet for a couple of weeks. Don't know about the rest of you, but I haven't heard from my son in a couple of weeks. I know the studying was to get pretty intensive during Power School.... but would like to hear from him!

My son (1204-5) called and said things are going pretty well. He doesn't seem TOO stressed. A group of them had plans to go out for Cheese Fries and then Clubbing (an interesting combination!) on Friday night, but my son hurt his foot in PT and had to stay home to ice. He was talking about coming home for Thanksgiving. I'm not sure he knows this for certain, but he seems to think that they will be able to go within the 350 mile range over Thanksgiving. Anyone know more about that?

Hmmm...I will say that if my son isn't able to come home for Thanksgiving, I just may have to take Thanksgiving to him! He was adopted by a local family last year (he and 2 other nukes) and had a great time, but even though he's tried contacting the family again, he's never gotten a response to his voice mails (that, in and of itself, bugs me--just bad manners!).
Blackwell, the sailor who was so badly hurt in the motorcycle crash, is recovering at home in Pompano (just down the road from me).
My son said his particular section (11) seems to be walking the tightwire between "all good" and "ordered quiet". Some people just can't get the hang of being quiet when they're supposed to.
Otherwise, this weekk they have the 2nd of their Heat Transfer and Fluid Flow tests. Sending up love, light and prayers for all of them!

My son is in 1204-3. So anyone with a kiddo in that group would be nice to hear from you. I think they grad in early November. Many of you are talking about Christmas. It might be interesting. I can get Christmas up pretty fast even before 12/25 or Spring or Summer, whenever he gets to come home. We are in California so no seasons here.

Hi Evi - nice to hear of another Mom in the same section. My sailor called last weekend and was excited that he had received "a schedule card" that showed their next classes and time, etc. but the most important fact was that it went out to sometime in September! He was saying how time goes by so quickly when all you do is spend time in the schoolhouse ;)

Welcome, nukemom! Talked with my son last weekend - he's doing o.k. and hanging in there. After a couple weeks with no word, it was good to hear from him and see him posting on Facebook occasionally again!
