Hi! I don't see a discussion group for Ship 07 DIV 221 yet, so here we go!!!  I got my first letter from my son this last Wednesday, June 6th. Did any of you also get letters yet. If so, how were your sailors doing? Mine said he's doing fine, the food is bad, he really likes his bunk mate and the two guys next to him. He also mentioned about the RDC's being strict and serious but fair. He didn't date his letter, but I think he wrote it last Sunday. I can't WAIT to hear more from him. I hope you're all doing well and can't WAIT to visit with all of you on here!!!

I'm doing all right. Was feeling really down until I got a letter last Thursday. I'm getting super excited to take off on the 19th to go see my boy!!! It seems like time is going a little faster now and that helps a lot! Our Division should have been on week 5 day 2 today. And I'm excited to hear that their division should be the first of this PIR group to do battlestations! Woo Hoooo!!!  How are you doing mrsSR?

I'm so thankful to finally get another letter today!  It was written the night of July 3rd. He said they have had their 2nd round of shots. And he ordered his picture package that day. Said it"was expensive as hell so I hope you can find people who want pics."!!! Oh that silly kid! He said they have all their dress uniforms and a National Defense ribbon and Medal. He was only 6 points away from Expert in shooting! I imagine that frustrates him cause he LOVES guns! Apparently I haven't received a letter that he had written before this one. Very frustrating!!! My favorite part - he signed it "With love & Appreciation"  Wow, that's pretty cool for this Mom to hear from her boy!! I hope and pray that you are all doing well. We are so close to seeing our loved ones!!! These days can NOT go fast enough. Love to you all!!!
