I found this out from my recruiter, it may or may not be correct, and i really hope we make it into this PIR!  Waiting on the form letter.    Anyone else have this ship and div?

i thought i read that the 900 series div was for prior ROTC kids, and my son has 3 years ROTC, so i am surprised he is not in that div.

I am going to mail a test letter to see if it works!

So no one from our Div. got mail yet. So I am thinking our day is Thursday or Friday next week (Wed is the 4th-no mail)  and I am hoping right after we get our first letter, in a few days we should get our first phone call.  Next week is going to be a great week for us!!!  Stay strong Div 247/248!!!

How do you know thet have not gotten mail yet??

the Mail PO of this division got to make a quick call home, and they should of started receiving our mail on Wed or yesterday.   so that is good!!   they should get mail mon-fri.  But they probably couldn't write their first letter till this sunday coming up, so i think we should get mail here at home this Thursday.

Thanks,,, we just need to hear him say he is okay,

what does that even mean? held up for 2 weeks? meaning they may not graduate, isn't it too early for that talk? maybe the RPO are just scaring them?    IS your son getting to call because he is mail po?  Carrie

ok, i am sure that is what it is. Hopefully my son will do his IS interviews this week and get to call too! I will keep my phone close. they say phone calls come on week 2 day 5, i wonder what we are on.  div 939 is week 2 day1.

My son is Ship 09, Division 247! From what I understand this is his PIR date. As I'm told, he is graduation on 8/10/12.  I am not too up on the lingo of the Navy but I am trying to learn! Any information is helpful. I have received my form letter from my son. But no call or letter yet. So anxious to hear from him. Hoping all is going well!

I'm so ready for phone call or letter, used to talking to him everyday so it is somewhat difficult.  I am carrying my phone all the time and to all my meetings, hopefully everyone will understand if I have to step out and take the call.  Making all the arrangements for PIR has kept me busy, we are planning to stay a couple of extra days and sight-see in Chicago.  Very excited about that.

I talked to my son's recruiter and he said he thinks they might let them call on the 4th if they are doing good. We also have our phone at the ready. We will also be at the PIR..... hope we all hear something soon,

Hi Ladies,

Have any of you received any letters or phone calls from your SR yet?

Just got our first letter!! I cried, but I am so happy-- he sounded good! no phone calls yet!

We got a letter yesterday that was dated July 1. No phones calls yet. We're hoping they will get to call tomorrow on our SR's birthday.
