Hi from Connecticut, My son leaves from DEP the 10th and flys out From MEPS the 11th to GL.

My son is shipping out of New Orleans on 7/10.  He depped in back in November, so it's been a looooong wait.

Most of us should be in the same PIR group. How exciting!   I'm looking forward to this journey to begin.

We're about to pull out of Louisville in 30min. to take our daughter back up to Cleveland to her recruiters...Will goof around tomorrow and then drop her off at his office at on Monday @ 4pm...Just had a look around her room one last time and geeez, did that get to me.

But she seems fine!! LOL

We will bring our son to the hotel on Monday, then they get him to MEPS to ship out on Tuesday.  Our big goodbye will be on Monday.  I will be praying for all of our shippers!  Looking forward to just getting that first week behind us! Keep in touch!

My son leaves July 10th from Columbus. We live in Dayton, OH.

Great tracylin - looking forward to being on this adventure with you.  We should be in the same PIR group. Do your know your son's rating?  My son will be a quartermaster- QM.

Let's keep in touch!

My son is a LS logistics support. He is working toward a dive contract. We will have to keep in touch and look forward meeting you at PIR.

So we are leaving tomorrow to get my son (Nathan) to MEPS. Then dinner, hopefully some sleep, then in morning back to MEPS for swear in then I get to fall to pieces, hopefully after he has left for the airport. Trying to keep it together and stay strong for my son is wearing me out. I really dont want his last site of me for awhile to be me in tears. So proud of him, yet so sad to see him leaving.

Where is Nathan leaving from? My son is leaving from Columbus, OH. I am feeling much the same as you... So proud but so not ready to let him go.... We will have to keep in touch and try to meet up at PIR.

Nathan is leaving from San Jose California. Would love to keep in touch. We are driving out to Illnois to see graduation whenever that date will be. There are six in my family, so we decided to drive. I counted the days and grad falls somewhere around Labor day week, I think. Is your son leaving the same day?

Yes, we go to hotel tomorrow and MEPS Tuesday and the he heads out. We have a large family also and will drive but, we are not too far.... Will be thinking of you over the next few days.
My son goes to MEPS Tuesday July 10 and leaves for GL the 11th
