So how many of you got letters this week and how many didn't get one yet?  I am still waiting for my real letter from my son. All I have gotten in the short note written on the back of the address/pir forms they sent last week.  Just wondering if most of the division wrote or if it was more random.

No letter for me :(  But -- he must have more important things to do!!  I got a quick note on the back -- with a heart that "Dude next to me made me draw."  If I ever find that "Dude" I'm gonna give him a hug!!

You should ask if it was someone from his ship/div and ask for their name and surprise them with a letter.  That is the type of influence I would love for my son to have.  (:

I written to him asking him -- hopefully I'll get a letter next week!!

Hopefully  I will get a letter then too.

we got a letter thursday from our daughter. she said the food wasn't to bad she was just tired!  her rdcs weren't to bad but the ones she bunked in weren't the nicest.

hi all does anyone know if they will get to call this wk or next? and what days do the call? i know that i may be puttin the cart before the horse but im so ready to hear his voice after my frist letter he was so down and i hope that has changed. my son also signed for eight years i thinks thats alittle much for them to let a kid that just grad high school to do with out some  advice ,anyone have any for me on this?

There has been talk that we MIGHT get a call this week.  We are still trying to figure out what training day they are on.  Once we know for sure the training date we can figure out when we will get the call.  Sorry, know this doesn't answer your question very well.

my daughter is in 11-261the also. i got a call last Wednesday after the her security clearance interview. spoke for 30 min. mine is also committed to 8 years. she will have her 18th bday on the 28 of july
GA mom .. why is he feeling down? Hopefully bythe this weekto he'll bebring feeling bettetdown about everything. The goodher news is..from what i heard last week they have not had a severe beatdown but once. My SRs biggest complaint is that they many are not working as a team, which is what has made it difficult.

hello ladies my son is the iron po and i know we cant do last names but maybe we can figure out if our sons know one another by there  jobs my son has made friends with 3 guys from chattanooga tn. and some that are going to san antoino a school

New week...who is ready for more letters?  Hoping I get one tomorrow!  Last week, Wednesday, I got my first letter in the morning and a phone call in the afternoon.  It was only 14 minutes long split between me and my husband.  He seems to be doing well.
