While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security
Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.
DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.
DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

**UPDATE 4/26/2022** Effective with the May 6, 2022 PIR 4 guests will be allowed. Still must be fully vaccinated to attend.
**UPDATE as of 11/10/2022 PIR vaccination is no longer required.
**UPDATE 7/29/2021** You now must be fully vaccinated in order to attend PIR:
In light of observed changes and impact of the Coronavirus Delta Variant and out of an abundance of caution for our recruits, Sailors, staff, and guests, Recruit Training Command is restricting Pass-in-Review (recruit graduation) to ONLY fully immunized guests (14-days post final COVID vaccination dose).

Waiting on letter
My son left for boot camp on 7/2 and I got the "i'm here" call around 2am on the 3rd. I did receive the box about a week (give or take) later and then "the form letter" last week. I am still waiting on a real letter from him. Does anyone know how much longer I have to wait? Also another question....the guest list for graduation....does he get to make changes to that list? Any information would be helpful. I miss him so much and cant wait to see him.

Hi just wanted to tell you I got my first letter 6 days after PIR letter and as to changing names on list .. Yes they get to ..you just have to tell SR and hope they remember !.. My son put mother and father on his list instead of our real names !.. So every other letter I remind him to change it and told him we can't come in if he doesn't .. So I hope he doesn't forget being they're so busy !
Also looking for immediate well pretty fast responses I would use bootcamp moms chat :)! -

Thank you. I am new to the site and havent had a lot of time to browse it. I hope to do that this weekend and get connected with other Navy Moms. When he made this choice I didnt realize how much it would affect me. I guess I was thinking 8 weeks wasnt a long time but in reality it is. :)

First real letter came after the Wednesday after his first Sunday he was in his regular division, if that helps. I think he got to write that Sunday.

I'm so sorry ,you will miss him a'lot,but what I did was pray a'lot, it help me,You would Receive a Letter from him by 2 weeks,,He would be fine.I use to get up at 3 am to Pray for them all,It really gave me a connection with my Daughter,You should try it out,as for the other Question I don't know,but I can ask my Navy Girl,When she first wrote she told me she had to get up by 3am for security,that was the connection with her,while I woke up to Pray for her and everyone at boot camp,she was up Working and Protecting the others while they slept,God is Awesome.I Will Pray for your Son and for your Peace in your Heart,he would be Transform in a Blessing way,Just think of the Good Part of the Tears,They would be Tears of Joy.God Bless and may Peace be with you and Family.my Name is Wanda Gonzalez from Orlando FL..
Also, my daughter just told me regarding the graduation invitee list - she wasn't advised of how to change the list, BUT she said your son should be able to speak to one of their RDCs and ask them how they can update their information. As long as he "respectfully" makes an inquiry - his RDC is sure to assist in answering any questions such as these.
