Okay so I got a letter of all of my sailors info today saying that he graduates on Sept. 7th. And it said that if he is atteneding A-school in Great Lakes then he will have the weekend for liberty but will start school on that monday. Since we are married I am moving with him to Great lakes but we didnt know that it would be two days after graduation! Im so confused on how i should get to the graduation and have a house on base and transfer all of our stuff from florida to illinois?! Will he not be able to come back home to Florida after grad?!

How long is his A school? Unless his A school is longer than 6 months the navy will do nothing for your move and I don't think you would qualify to live on base. I don't think I would switch anything over from FL to IL unless he's going to be there longer than 6 months, he will get another set of orders after A school. Also, sometimes graduation gets postponed for different reasons.....for now, I recommend patience :) I know, it stinks, just try to stay flexible for now.
A school and C school will both be in GL so we'll be there for 2 years.
I can't help, but would be interested in this as well. My husbands A school is supposed to be just over 6 months and I would like to go with him.
Unfortunately he will not be able to go home in between boot camp and A school. I had to do all the move stuff by myself. But it's actually fairly easy. Just call the Personal Property office for help. But Esther is right, unless his A school is longer than 6 months, the Navy will not move you. Good luck and congratulations!
Yeah it will be longer than 6 months. Thank you! :)
