Choose your Username. For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security
Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.
DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.
DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

**UPDATE 4/26/2022** Effective with the May 6, 2022 PIR 4 guests will be allowed. Still must be fully vaccinated to attend.
**UPDATE as of 11/10/2022 PIR vaccination is no longer required.
**UPDATE 7/29/2021** You now must be fully vaccinated in order to attend PIR:
In light of observed changes and impact of the Coronavirus Delta Variant and out of an abundance of caution for our recruits, Sailors, staff, and guests, Recruit Training Command is restricting Pass-in-Review (recruit graduation) to ONLY fully immunized guests (14-days post final COVID vaccination dose).

Please note! Changes to this guide happened in October 2017. Tickets are now issued for all guests, and all guests must have a ticket to enter base. A separate parking pass is no longer needed to drive on to base for parking.

My daughter leaves tomorrow (7-23)
I can't believe it's here already. Time went by so fast. Heather leaves for MEPS and off to GL Tuesday. I'm keeping myself together fairly well these last couple of days and have spent as much time with her as possible. I'm nervous for her but happy for her too.
I will be thinking about all the other moms on here as their children leave. Good luck to you and best wishes to your sons and daughters.

I understand and send a big hug to you....My daughter left on July 9th. I have not talked to her yet but I know that she will call soon it has almost been 3 weeks. I have moments as you will when you go to buy food at the grocery store but you don't need their favorite item. I know they are fine, but found the videos helped me understand the process so I felt part of her day! You sound like you are just needing information and that would ease the nerves.

Very well put, Christine. My daughter left on the 17th and all I want is to be a part of her day, just to know what goes on. I don't think my nerves are bad, and have yet to cry because I am so full of pride. I just feel the need to know...

my son left yesterday for boot camp (7/23). I got the call last night around 10 that he arrived safely. I cried like a baby after he called. This is much harder than I ever imagined it would be but this website has helped me out incredibly!

My son arrived on 7/23 and I got the call at 7:25pm that he was safe and there. I got the box on 7/26 with his belongings and this is so very hard and I hope with each passing day it gets better. I am very proud of him but I miss him ALOT! My 10 year old daughter days to pretend he is at summer camp - I'm trying:( I agree - this website is helping me a lot!!! Everyone take care!

Looks like our sons are in the same Division. Gosh I miss him so much. Just sent a letter out to him this morning. He got to make a call on Saturday and talked with his girlfriend, so she updates me on how he is.

My sons girlfriend left on 7/23 for GL. It is kind of hard on our end because her mother isn't the friendliest of people and doesn't share things with my son. So hopefully she will give my son her mailing address so we can send her letters. I am sure she will but might not be immediately. Is there a place where we can check to find out her mailing address? Thanks.

My daughter left on 7/23 also. I am also very proud of her. I can't wait to hear from her soon. I grew up a military brat so I know this is an awesome experience for these young kids and wish them all well. I can't believe it's almost been a week. Sometimes it feels longer. Good luck and keep strong!
