Yay...a phone call for you!  I think I saw you doing the happy dance!

Is there anyone on this discussion that isn't on our fb group?

The reason I asked about if anyone is missing from our fb group is I think last week I forgot to post both here and there. I have been good about sharing on fb, but need to remember to post here too.

ga.mom75, thanks for letting me know...now I know to check both sites regularly. (:

My son is in  ship 11 div 262 and I have not joined the fb group.  How do I do that?

This is our Division page (261 & 262):  http://www.facebook.com/groups/202920503169141/

This is our PIR page:http://www.facebook.com/groups/439741489392686/.

I'll add you as a friend on here.

Got my letter today! (:  He sounds more like himself.  Says Div 262 got their academic flag. Over half of the division was out due to having teeth pulled. My SR got to keep his for now. Asked me to remind everyone to keep writing because it makes things easier.  He is confident he will ace his weapons turnover inspection. He says his day is pretty rountine, but time actually goes really fast there.  He wrote when they had that big storm, so he said a couple of the guys and himself watched the storm.

What has everyone else heard?

Got a letter today, she's really down, there is alot of infighting among the girls in the division, and she feels like they are losing sight of their goals..to work as a team and meet/over come the obstacles.  Also down because she has received so little mail from friends.  Thank God I knock out a letter every day.  But its hard to find interesting things to say when writing that frequently. Shes trying so hard to hold onto her assignment as PFC, but said she is close to losing it because shes made some mistakes.  :-(

yay! got 2 letters today She is still holding on to the PFC assignment.

Brie said they had 2 inspections on the 27th, PI and Weapons turnover,  she scored very well. Also did well on her PFA. They did marlinspike the day before...they  had some rough spots but Div 261 did pass!   so I believe most everything is behind them now.  If you havent had a dreaded call, by now, I would say our kids are out of the woods!

Now for letter #2.  She asked me to buy her some fake eyelashes!  LOL, wanted them for her pix, but said she would be the laughing stock of bootcamp, if I mailed them to her LMAO!  She also told me that shes really happy to be headed back up North and said she would probably stay up north when she finishes with Navy.  :-(   Oh well I have 8 years before I have to worry about that.  Besides, she wants to put in 20 years with Navy.  Shoot I'll be gone by then!

Congratulations on the letter!  I hope to get my questionaire with as much detail.  But I doubt my son will give more than short answers.  Thanks for sharing!

Hello, It is great that you got so much info!  I'm sorry though, but you will need to edit your post.

Please copy paste and edit your post without the last names of recruits. Then please go back and delete the original by clicking the little "x" in the top right corner. As per the N4M's Community Guidelines and OPSEC last names of Recruits/Sailors are not allowed on the website.
